But the point is you see them as hits, which means you thought they were good signings and had enough of a positive outcome. So should we include 'Star hits' so we can work out what you see as an acceptable influence to have. -

Why, they were identified by our scouting system, and they were not good? How does that work, you can't just pick and choose who you want to include, you have to take 100% of the available info do you not? -

So what you're saying iss that you'd be happy for one of our new CB's to have the same influence as Dale Stephens did? Are you serious? And the same with Waigo or Antonio? If so we don't need a RW as w have Guly who has had more of an impact than those 2 put together. In response to the second part, you throw enough mud at a wall, some of it will stick. -

Upgraded Trotman, agree with that. People really do remember both Waigo and Antonio with rose coloured glasses. They really weren't all that and Antonio was really bad for most of the season. -

Ivan Ramis for £3m, Hoillett for a development fee (although admittedly quite high wages). Michu for £2m. Jonathon De Guzman is a quality player. I would carry on, but I have to go catch my train. Posting style is hard to judge to be fair, as you can't convey the way you are meaning to -

Why? Our signings are probably at around 50% success rate since we were taken over. -

We're not, it was just an example. How about QPR's signings? Or Swansea's? -

Now, to deal with your other points... Diame is quality. Collins and McCartney are better than what we have. Maiga is very good. Jasskailainen is past it, I agree. I would take all of their signings so far this Summer. -

They were signed since the end of the season, so are counted as new signings. You're wrong, so wind your neck in. -

Henderson from Pompey as well I think you'll find, who's a good player. So I think you'll find it's you that's making up facts. -

Because they haven't been so far. We can only judge on the quality of players that have come in so far, and the quality isn't good enough for the CB's if we go down the same lines. Meticulous planning? I wouldn't say there is meticulous planning. In fact, everything seems very laissez-faire, from the lack of Season Ticket payment options last season, the ticket office issues, running out of food and beer at the ML cup, the website etc. How long did it take to get started on the training ground? I am a big fan of Cortese's, but I don't believe the club is meticulously run. QPR look like they have done their business, as does Norwich and possibly Swansea. West Ham have brought in 5 or 6 of good quality and are nearly done. The most important position for us to strengthen hasn't been done, and that is what worries me considering we have known we need to improve the defence since the beginning of May. -

I really do hope so, as it is quality that we need more than quantity. -

Usual highlights of Mariappa, but the fact that Newcastle wanted him last year and had a bid turned down tells me he's alright considering how good their scouting department is. If you saw Pearce last year he certainly is better than Fonte. -

But they've completed in decent time to allow the signings to bed in. The most difficult place for players to come in is in defence, and we are not giving them the time to do that. My point isn't that we won't sign anyone, it's that they won't be in time and (from my point of view) won't be of sufficient quality. -

They haven't done a similar amount, they've brought in 6 players to our 4. If we brought in 1 decent CB and 1 RW then I'd be happy. But we haven't. All 3 of those CB's are better than Fonte. -

1) And? My point is not enough of a high enough quality. 2) Agreed I don't, and all I can take is looking at who we've signed, and who we've been linked with. But judging by them (which is all any of us can judge by), not good enough. 3) I do have an idea about the sense of urgency, as we haven't signed anyone of note at CB and we're playing the Premiership Champions in less than 2 weeks. 4) No I don't, but that's such a subjective thing based on so many factors that anything in football matches is pure speculation. 5) Reading seemed to have got their business done pretty sharpish, and I'd say they are a proper rival, so I wouldn't say everyone is the same as it's not even true for our rivals. -

But it's bad preparation, and we have had time since the end of last season to try to get deals done. We need to hit the ground running to be able to stay up this season, and it just seems to me that the preparation has not taken place, and the lack of urgency is worrying. -

Yep, that one really was out of nowhere, but I get the idea that was due to it being last minute though, which of course it was. -

We'd have heard about progress. Every signing we've made this year we've known about a long way ahead of them signing. -

I've seen that Wigan are interested in Walter Gargano. That would be an immense signing if they pick him up.
