  1. Good point, if they are the only two strikers available then so be it, but the championship is full of sides talking a good game but most in desperate financial strife, so £3m might twist a lot of chairman's arms.

What makes you sure, by the way? Neither looked all that in the recent games against us.

Maynard has been crap all season according to Brizzle fans but Sharp has been very solid in a poor Donnie side. Now that they're just starting to pick up form and should easily finish outside the relegation places I'm not sure they'd be too willing to sell him and rock the boat though they are in financial trouble.

  2. Arghh, the non-understanders of modern football.Did you not listen to Morgan yesterday?

He tells you exactly how it is with modern day Saints, they have to turn the ball around and around until they see the right pass and then make it instantly, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.You probably need 2 goals to win most games, what you don't need is giving the ball to the opposition all of the time with speculative punts up the field.Possession is what modern day football is all about not gung ho route 1 1960's ale house tactics.

Sam's West-Ham breathing down our neck might disagree as well as Pardew's Newcastle doing so well. Not saying I agree with the style but to claim it's not used in modern football succesfully is far far off the mark :) It is bloody boring to watch though.
  3. We had a lot more than 52% possession today, Palarse barely had the ball! Thought it was more like 65%-35%.

Our passing today was f*cking brilliant by all accounts, we haven't passed the ball about like that at home for a few weeks and it looks like our team is filled with confidence again.

I both love your optimism and avatar. SuperMikey for forum president!

  4. Oh right. Can you provide some evidence for that ridiculous claim?

Oh dear merciful heavens, we get it you don't believe. Who cares? It's Christmas an arbitrary date chosen for the birth of Christ based on paganistic rituals chosen to appease the Romans. No-one knows when and if he was born and Christians choose to believe he's the savior so let's all get along crack another bottle of bubbly and enjoy the prezzies :D

  5. I've been on an Alpha course. It was nothing like that.

Did one when I was 15 or so? They spoke about the christian faith, what they believed and at the very end of the course I was given the OPTION of confessing my sins to the reverend. It all depends on who's running the alpha course, mine was being run by some lovely people and I met some great people there as well. My brother is a died in the wool atheist who did it at the same time as me and while he chose not to believe it was very much his choice. If it's being run by a fundamentalist nutjob of course it'll be a torrid experience but it really isn't the norm.

  6. Still think he will be a star for us...

Start him on the right of four against Palace....Give him a chance and he will repay us in full..

    WIFM

Chaplow supposedly back, if anyone but him starts and he's fully fit then it's criminal.

Argument solved. This can be used to shut up the silly Skates and other fans.

    Next...

To be fair, for a professional sportsman he's not exactly skinny and he could stand to lose maybe 1-2 kilos. Very VERY far from fat though.

  8. First one for Foul and Abusive language, second one for violent conduct. Disgusting.

To be fair, the second one should have been a Burnley sending off according to Sky, Burnley player grabbed one of the Brighton men by the throat.

  9. Iran is inevitable I fear, Obama wants his frone back and the Iran government will not back down. I see a recovery operation in the future that heightens tensions followed by sabre rattling and finally military intervention. I'll give you good odds that the Brits get suckered into it somehow.
