Given Stevie G is employed by Liverpool it's a bit strange that he is allowed to comment on the VVD situation as a pundit.
-
To be honest it is phenomenal that they can compete and keep their players paying those wages. Good on them I say.
-
Messi and Jonny Evans - double announcement?
On the plus side.... 140 million bid for Coutinho if it happens
-
The Express (!!!) reporting that CFC want Bertie, Cedric and Virg!
-
Yeah, had someone in a pretty clear headlock. He struggled.
Although I still don't quite get the booing towards him.
Captain lallana - left
Captain Fonte - left
Captain VVD - agitates to leave
I understand the booing
-
Mane scores again... How much will this guy be worth next season?
-
Meh they should have been down to 9 anyway so justice prevailed in the end.
And we should have been down to 10.
-
If we cannot beat 10 man West-Ham at home and start off two easyish home games with only 2 points (or god forbid less) it will be a veeery long season.
-
We're **** and we know we are. Repeat ad nauseam.
-
WTF is going on?!
Usual nerves after conceding and oppo resurgence. If they don't score in the next 10mins or so we will start to dominate again.
-
Oh relax guys, we are very much the better team here. We scored two at home so far, good signs are there.
(Please no-one repost this when we lose 3-2).
-
That was probably Tadic's worst penalty to date!
The only one recently he has scored though
I wonder if he is amazing at them in training or something? Mind boggles as to how he is designated.
-
Willing to bet good money he does the bottler thing and sends off one of ours to "even things out"
-
Scored again today
Fantastic news, well done Olufela.
-
I revoke my Pellegrino out comments until further notice.
-
Have we not scored yet? FFS Pellegrino out.
-
Swansea are not also-rans, they are a dire side who'll go down unless they spend big. It's pathetic we didn't beat them but it was one of those days.
Man Utd have got better, they've spent an insane amount. City might have got better but were erratic last year. Liverpool will lose Coutinho and be the same old Liverpool, Arsenal fck knows, Spurs, look weaker to me and Wembley will be an issue.
There will never be a season where they all improve, fulfil potential and have successful signings.
Doubtful to be honest, did you see the structure of the bid in the Mirror report? 80 million payable over 5 years? Ridiculous.
-
I kind of get the feeling that the gulf between the big teams and the also-rans has seriously widened again after it looked like ground was finally being made up.
Depressing.
-
Strong team, impressed
-
What usually happens is that they get sold and we then all say he was crap anyway and won't miss him & good riddance. Or something like that.
You left out the bit where his replacement is better anyway.

Absolute madness rejecting that.
Ok, now we're the hypocritical ones because this is exactly what the dippers have been saying about VVD.
(Yes I know we have had no bids).
-
At the end of the day, he has clearly passed the tests now but it's still legitimate for fans to be interested in why the process appears not to have been completely straightforward.
Please don't make better posts than me two seconds after me

Where did it say that the Premier League had serious doubts about the Gao family?
I've not seen that, and hopefully their solicitors haven't seen it either.
It was initially reported he failed the FPP test I belive? http://www.insideworldfootball.com/2017/04/27/lander-grounded-saints-new-225m-deal-table/
I think then there were reports that he appealed and succeeded on review but I don't know if any of this was accurate or just paper talk.

How on earth do you spin a positive story with that headline?
