  1. I think the lack of postings today show the acceptance of what we knew all along.

I personally think they are more likely to be sorting the coaching setup out more than interviewing anyone now.

points vs Leicester and I can see it being confirmed later this week.

Swear people are making up rumours now.

Read back over the last few days. There are no links or new news aside from that SR are going to analyse again after the next few games.

People are dropping in names randomly now and others are taking it as gospel. There’s no new information.

We all know Tonda will end up getting it, it’s just SR dithering about announcing it.

Probably interviewing for the support staff not actually the managers role lol

  3. SR are clearly putting all their eggs in TE basket. GON aside there has been no leaks in the press of people interviewed or even linked with the role.

what happens if we lose to Charlton? The home game in midweek could really see the crowd turn on SR imo.

In other words, we don't know what we're doing and we're hoping for a miracle.

I mean every other club doesn’t seem to have an issue in selecting a manager from those that apply…..

They don't want to commit because if they publicly give him the job it's going to look even more embarrassing for them if he loses two out of the next three games and they would have to walk it back. This way if he does badly over the next three games they can demote him back to the u21s and pretend this was always the plan all along.

Exactly that. I think they hope his results over a few weeks will then justify giving it to him permanently but if he doesn’t they will just announce a new manger and claim that his interim period is over.

Surprised they haven’t said anything about who the coaches are given we have lost 3 with the sacking.

I said the other day we have no coaches, just Tonda and Lallana (does he count?). Can only assume the u21 coaching team has stepped up.

I can only assume they haven’t announced any new coaches because they will allow the new manager to bring their own team?

Does the u21’s have a keeper coach?!

Strange timing, seeing as I assume Saints still train during the week on Int breaks. Maybe a job interview...

May be an image of football, American football and text that says "M Olympique de Marseille Adam Lallana special guest today @OMOfficiel Nov13 SUBLIME COTE Divolbe DIVOIRE OEE"

Or could be on a day the players were given a day off 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pretty sure Sweden are in the play offs anyway because of the Nations League. So he will manage them in those next Spring (and theoretically at the World Cup).

Ah ok didn’t realise. So you can finish bottom of your group and still qualify? Another uefa joke

  9. What about Potter? Only signed a deal initially until end of World Cup campaign and given Sweden are bottom of their group with one to play, could be someone we are waiting for?

I want somebody better than Tonda. I guess that this means an experienced manager who has been successful in the past and can give out weii deserved kicks up the arse to certain players.

    BUT

What happens in the next few weeks if it turns out that Tonda is a really good manager? What happens if in a few years he is regsrded in the same light as  say Pochettino? So far he has won 2 matches against weak teams but Blackburn, Derby and Swansea were weak teams and we didn't beat any of them.

I can see the merit in giving him a bit longer in charge. If he can get 9 (or maybe 7) points in the next 3 games he will deserve a spell in charge to at least the end of the season.

What happens if he fails to win against Charlton and Leicester? The atmosphere will be awful and no doubt the attention will be more on getting SR out of our club for taking so long to replace Still

How long does instant respect last? Can you lose it? Can it be earned?

Who knows but clearly in 13 games Still didn’t earn it from the players

  12. I feel TE would be similar to Still in that he wouldn’t walk through the door and instantly have the respect of the players. That seems to be our issue currently, which is why many are asking for a name this time around.

Carrick OGS Viera etc would have that instant respect imo.

SR run our club like a game of roulette but every decision that make seems to be like putting all on number 1, rather than making decisions a little safer like backing red or black.

I’d like to see a poll on whether ST holders will renew if we appoint TE, he stays for the season and we finish mid table.

Judging by how long our managers last he won’t be in charge by season ticket renewal time

If they got spooked with GON due to fan reaction, hiring Hungry Eyes won’t be too far from a similar reaction when we fail to win the next home game.

it can’t be him. It just can’t

it is like they want it to be him…the club act like a shit government nudge unit!!!

It sounds like they are waiting for someone to become available?! I get not rushing the appointment but there is a vacancy surely if a manager is interested they will make themselves known now?  Unless they aren’t currently out of work but might be soon?

  15. Trollope going to wolves either works out perfectly and allows the new manager to bring his own staff in easier or we will have an interim coach to go with the interim manager

  16. As far as I can see there hasn’t actually been any reports linking him to us? Just Charlie Austin saying that’s who he’d appoint. Bookies odds, we know are a snowball effect.

  17. Whoever comes in the biggest issue they will have there realistically there is 12 league games before we will have an option to get a forward in. (take us to Mon 5th Jan)

They have to find a fix this as we can’t continue with Arma as the central forward, it just doesn’t work.

  18. While the senior pros seem to want RM I just don’t see the point, if he manages to get up promoted in the future he’s already shown he’s too stubborn to change his way of playing and got himself sacked rather than change the style.

    So Carl Martin's finally gone.

Lallana and Trollope clearly still have a few more years to fuck up the squad though.

I just can't with this ownership.

Need someone to hold the fort until the new guy is in. These 3 will do training and match(es) but imagine Trollope will go and TE goes back to U’21s

  20. This is not the time to go with someone who hasn’t managed before. Let him go back to the U21’s I mean give it 6 months and he might be able to get it in the summer anyway lol
