Armstrong isn't any better. Watched him today, just trudging back to the centre circle after both the Hull goals. No trying to motivate the players or encouraging. He can fuck off at the end of the season for me.

There are no leaders in the team. Romeu could have been that but he’s nowhere to he seen.

arma isn’t a leader, maybe THB is the best of what we have?

  2. I think it was the right call to sell him, he had a few loans an hadn’t done anything and wasn’t at the level we needed. Was no point keeping in the b team as was too good for that level.

Whether he can do it higher than L1 we don’t know but hopefully we have a sell on so we get more cash when he moves on in the summer lol

Goztepe are clearly the top club in their pyramid. We've been used to support Goztepe.

Rasmus even came out and said they're the main club of the group when they assumed ownership. That wasn't a joke.

Using the biggest club and their money to fund their top team then

At this point it's not about managers, 4 at the back, 5 at the back, 3 at the back. It all boils down to the fact that they have absolutely no fucking idea of how to run a professional sports outfit. They have no idea.

They won't learn, they double down on mistakes and refuse to take responsibility. They are hideous.

Back in the summer, or slightly before, Dragan came out and said if he didn't feel as if he was helping the club he'd sell.

Do it. You're not helping us, you're killing us. Put us up for sale and fuck off. Take your stupid little sports republic experiment and play down the local park.

The thing with multi club ownership is that the team at the top needs solid investment and then rest of the clubs are ultimately used to support the main team by having the development players.

SR failure is they just gamble with potential at every level

  5. The only thing that would get notice is being vocal in the ground or outside the ground before/after kick off.

no buying a pint or a burger isn’t going to matter one bit.

    Stop going.

    Stop buying merchandise.

Stop going to the bars and pubs on the outside of the ground.

Unfortunately, none of the above will happen.

    That wouldn’t work.

Vocal protesting is the only way. Look what happened when the fans turned on SR briefly earlier this season, they sacked Still.

Protests and anti SR songs at games will be the only way to put pressure on them. Something we as a fan base are too soft to do.

Any one offer a suggestion why our club is seemingly fixated on this (god awful) system?

how is it that we seem to stumble on managers who prefer this formation, even in the case of Still who prefer a different set up.

    just fucking weird

Quite simply we don’t (or didn’t have until now) have a fit right back to enable us to play 4 at the back.

im sure if we played a centre back there instead people would be moaning saying just play 3/5 at the back instead.

  8. It’ll be interesting to see when we have a fit right back if we switch to 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 which would get Fellows into his natural position.

also, do you think the new coaching appointment will be someone with a bit of championship experience? I think it will be another Trollope type given that’s what we are missing from the setup.

For some reason all our recent managers seem to think 3 CB makes us more secure or something but I have no idea what they're seeing. The huge problem with the way we do it is they all want to defend in front of the goal which means on the flanks the wing back is often 1v2, so a midfielder has to drop back there which opens up a ton of space elsewhere to switch it, cross it, whatever really.

Just having 2 CBs and then a FB and winger defending the flanks would make a huge difference. OR if he's determined to stick with the 3 CB then the one on the ball side has to go out wide. But that does not seem to be part of the plan right now and we're getting shafted.

We don’t have a fit right back to play a back 4, until one is back it’ll have to be the 3-4-2-1 formation

  10. I think the lack of postings today show the acceptance of what we knew all along.

I personally think they are more likely to be sorting the coaching setup out more than interviewing anyone now.

points vs Leicester and I can see it being confirmed later this week.

Swear people are making up rumours now.

Read back over the last few days. There are no links or new news aside from that SR are going to analyse again after the next few games.

People are dropping in names randomly now and others are taking it as gospel. There’s no new information.

We all know Tonda will end up getting it, it’s just SR dithering about announcing it.

Probably interviewing for the support staff not actually the managers role lol

  12. SR are clearly putting all their eggs in TE basket. GON aside there has been no leaks in the press of people interviewed or even linked with the role.

what happens if we lose to Charlton? The home game in midweek could really see the crowd turn on SR imo.

In other words, we don't know what we're doing and we're hoping for a miracle.

I mean every other club doesn’t seem to have an issue in selecting a manager from those that apply…..

They don't want to commit because if they publicly give him the job it's going to look even more embarrassing for them if he loses two out of the next three games and they would have to walk it back. This way if he does badly over the next three games they can demote him back to the u21s and pretend this was always the plan all along.

Exactly that. I think they hope his results over a few weeks will then justify giving it to him permanently but if he doesn’t they will just announce a new manger and claim that his interim period is over.

Surprised they haven’t said anything about who the coaches are given we have lost 3 with the sacking.

I said the other day we have no coaches, just Tonda and Lallana (does he count?). Can only assume the u21 coaching team has stepped up.

I can only assume they haven’t announced any new coaches because they will allow the new manager to bring their own team?

Does the u21’s have a keeper coach?!

Strange timing, seeing as I assume Saints still train during the week on Int breaks. Maybe a job interview...

May be an image of football, American football and text that says "M Olympique de Marseille Adam Lallana special guest today @OMOfficiel Nov13 SUBLIME COTE Divolbe DIVOIRE OEE"

Or could be on a day the players were given a day off 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pretty sure Sweden are in the play offs anyway because of the Nations League. So he will manage them in those next Spring (and theoretically at the World Cup).

Ah ok didn’t realise. So you can finish bottom of your group and still qualify? Another uefa joke
