Obviously he will need the club to sanction the signing of a big centre forward who suits this game because we don't have one. If Jones can do that then I don't think the football will be unattractive and he'll get the fans onside. He has a hard job ahead of him and I think he realises this but he does come across as somebody who is single-minded, passionate, determined and believes in what he's doing. Let's see.

I reckon if the average fan knew nothing about Pep and then watched one of his interviews they'd probably end up thinking he was as mad as a box of frogs and not cut out for this Premier League management malarky.

Yeah, Almiron was clearly a talented footballer but regressed under Steve Bruce. Now look at him under a decent coach like Eddie Howe.

All done to protect their own jobs. Should have been handled by independent representatives not those wishing to feather their own cushy nests.

It's far more than just missing chances. We are a team with no purpose, no shape and no identity. We do not look remotely like a well oiled unit where every player knows his role - we look a complete shambles. This is why it is so easy to score against us and why we don't create much. Ralph should have gone during the summer when his other coaches were shown the door. SR have made a massive error and they may well look back and regret allowing Ralph to carry on.

Don't think Newcastle could stop him even with Dick Dastardly at the back.
