I think people need to realise in this season of disappointment we need talismen to cling to every game to give us hope and belief we can win each game and potentially for the rest of the season that something miraculous could happen.
No one is disputing if we had a blank cheque again that we would be buying these same players but in the shit sandwich of this season this is all we've got to eat.

Yes ! we are UID FC. United In Despair FC. Soon to roll all over Europe, winning over Jagiellonia Białystok orKnattspyrnufélagið Víkingur. Living the dream!
Fred we won as well today, see miracles can happen.
The great Sports Republic comeback is on.
We gave all the other teams a headstart before we decide to play.
Everyone else tries to win games through out the season but with rasmus our chief football strategist he realised it's better to be shit for half a season and then win more the rest of the season.
Thinking outside the box 🤣

Thought Wellington looked like a decent player. Fast, aggressive, decent touch.
Groeoeenenebaaaeck did well for a debut although we didn't get him and Fernandes on the ball enough.
yeah am fully on the wellington express.
I expect to hear he has a season endin injury on monday now knowing our luck

That isn't a stat.
He lost possession 27 times today, completed only half of his passes, won one of his 11 duels on the deck, 16 of his 24 duels in the air, was offside (inexplicably) three times.
So he won his aerial duels then ?
I am not sure you are familar with a target man in a pressing team but they generally arent the guys who have high completion stats for passing or retaining possession as balls after flying towards them as they battle.
Step away from the stats, he did a good job for us, i agree i would prefer a delap type forward but tall paul is showing effort and results now he is playing regulary and am happy for him.
He's not everyones stylistic footballer but we have no decent forwards for a long long time they all have their faults.

At... pause for effect... LAST.
Doesn't mean a great deal in the grand scheme of things other than potentially dragging Ipswich back to the Championship with us but we haven't had the winning feeling much so let's enjoy it and finally watch MOTD in anticipation.
I still want us to ditch the 3 CBs. A 4141 with Ramsdale, KWP, THB, Bednarek, Wellington, Les, Dibling, Fernandes, Gronbaek, Sulemana, Onuachu IMO would be an interesting and attacking way to go. Outscore teams rather than attempt defending. But that's for another day.
Get... pause for effect...IN.
Its like we have that we are relegated already feeling so lets see which others seasons we can try to ruin.
Think Ipswich might be off loading quite a few players if they do follow us down.

Can I also say i like this formation, if we can be a Temu version of Atalanta I will take that currently.

Maybe I've gone completely mental... Or maybe everyone's changing with the wind now he's scored a winner...
The guy looks like a pub player, and the stats from today 100% back me up. He didn't win duels, he's wasteful - but he scored the winner.
You can't drop him after scoring a winner, but the fact that he's ended up our best striker this season is directly correlated to us being a waste of space.
He is absolutely NOT 'fast in a straight line'. Just because it looks like he's in pain, doesn't make it quick.

Honestly i am stoked with that, really felt good today when i saw the team.
Liked everything about wellington, fast, works hard both ways, put in crosses into areas where our players were and had that brazilian touch about everything but most of all he wore short sleeves no gloves in feb, proper hardman.
Also people really down playing the 2nd goal, great work from sully, muric was moving away and hence only got back to palm but that goal was all about tall pauls anticipation and taking a chance something we have been asking our strikers to do for ages.
Take that you Ed Sheeran loving cunts, our european push begins now.

Chris Wood is the striker we have been crying out for, for years
I like chris wood, i like everything he represents as a striker and to be fair looking at his record he has massive underlying value as he gets 10 goals plus most seasons in the league aside from 2 seasons but no one really thinks of him as a good striker (or doesnt get the headlines)

Links to streams can be found via below just scroll down to where the Ovostreams bit is and there is a list of 10 which could/will work, just check 5mins before kick off.
If you want to stop a shit load of pop ups coming up either get a pop up blocker or use brave browser (hyperlink to website download) which i do which stops virtually all the pop ups.

One stat that made me chuckle was when we just scored and were 1-0 up the TV flashed up the %chance to win the match according to the prediction stats they have and we were still like 22% to win and Ipswich still 49% even tho they were losing 🤣
