Yeah we had a few like that to be fair I was one of them. Big and strong for my age which meant I always stood out but when I got to 15-16 and others had caught up suddenly wasn’t one of the best anymore, couldn’t dominate games,  then going into men’s football as a 16 year old was a complete eye opener.

Now you dominate the information wars

  2. Funny thing is if he was on a boat crossing the channel we'd all be laughing at him saying he's 15.

I always remember a dude a school bit like him developed earlier, was a beast then everyone caught up with him and he was then shit.

Will be interesting to see how he performs the more he plays for the 21's as that is probably a closer reflection of the physicality he has imo.

You think no other saints player could have scored that goal against Blackburn!

I think the problem is we all complain as none of our forwards seem to bust a gut to get in the 6yd box when a winger has the ball and attack a post etc to try and get on the end of a cross.

They all like hanging out at the pen spot.

Sekou at least looks like he wants to get in there.

  4. We see this in alot of our chats on our forum, people become entrenched in their view on certain subjects and no new info or performance is gonna change that.

Hopefully he starts showing consistently what he's capable of but overall I hope the team continues their fine form in the 2nd half of the season and he contributes.

  5. Transferred at 19 moved to a new country

Scored on debut for France Under 21 - Thierry Henry manager

4 managers in 2 seasons at Saints

People forget Tella was 23 before he showed anything in championship.

Russ rates him and I expect him to get more minutes in the 2nd half.

I really dont get why everyone gets on his back, he was signed for the talent he showed in a relegation hit bordeaux after 1 season but was always a project player, not someone to be the cornerstone of our attack, he still needs to learn and also grow as a footballer - he's looked more physical this season for a start.

People act like it was their own money.

Very good performance but then it was interesting to see Walsall not really go for it apart from the last ten minutes of the first half. They were time wasting at 1-0 down!

Lumley looked very composed. Methods I thought did very well (complete opposite of Thierry Small’s debut two years ago 😂).
Ryan Fraser clearly MOTM and was excellent.

I wouldn’t say negatives as such but underwhelming again was Smallbone (for a short while he took a while to get into the game) but came better. But can someone for the life of me explain what Mara brings to the team aside from his plentiful locks on his head? Ineffective doesn’t cover it.

Newport or Eastleigh at home in the next round please 😁

Fraser excellent.  Alcaraz showed real character to play really well in the second half after a really poor first 45.

Really wouldn’t be bothered if Mara left.  1/10 for effort.

    Keeper looks decent as well.

he was throwing himself at everything in the box and coming deep to receive balls from the CB's and chased down and defended.

Valenciennes announce Kantari will stay on as manager until the end of the season.

They have a cup match against lower tier Sarreguemines FC on Friday before the league starts back up again on 13th January

Isnt it a bit of a double edged sword saying they are staying on, like they were considering sacking him ? but we've decided he's good enough for the season.

As our friend says the DOF Chorley seems to have a lot to answer for but i wonder how many of the new recruits were insisted on by the SR scouting rather than the clubs thoughts.

    Sounds a bit ominous- https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2023/official-valenciennes-appoint-ahmed-kantari-as-head-coach/

Results have hardly improved since Maciel departed and Kantari is yet to find the team’s second win in the league. Two losses and a victory in the Coupe de France over a team three divisions below them have not been a great start for the new manager.

It looks highly likely that VAFC will be relegated at the end of the season with four clubs being demoted into the Championnat National this year and results yet to improve for the struggling team.

  9. I want to see the following and treat it seriously

                                                                  Baz

Bree (if back KWP needs a rest)   THB.  Stephens.     Manning (reluctantly as our spanish smurf has no legs)

                                                   Smallbone     Charles

                                                                Charly.

SAA (or S Armstrong)                     Mara                      Fraser

I would expect some good interplay with mara, charly and fraser based on how they have worked together in their cameos.
