The issue is the PMs decision to appoint him despite warnings not to. It's his judgement that is in question, not guilt by association.

BIG difference, even with your blinkered outlook, between Millibands limited role pre-Iraq as an advisor and the current PMs decision making regarding NI. In fact, I can't remember any Milliband speeches, papers, articles, pre-Iraq, where he says we should go to war.
