I always have a cap or bandanna on, all year round. It would feel weird riding without one of them on.
Keep losing the bandanas and buffs so have a lightweight cheapo summer skully. The pink patches were more a product of a few years back when i didn't know of such things. It also can provide protection from that moment when a wasp gets in your helmet, if you'll excuse the expression. Had that happen on a sportive a few years back on a steep and rapid descent.

It's my head I have to worry about. Odd pink patches if I don'/t wear a summer skull cap. Legs and arms OK.

Keep VVD for a season and bingo, a natural successor.

From what I've read JWP is an intelligent guy. Son of a barrister, albeit a Skate, I believe he was clever enough for a top Uni place. This isn't the norm with footballers and may explain why it has taken him a little longer to get where he is. Very good player now and will only get better.

Or is our Luke just a bit thick?
Heard this, but just think that injury has set him back. Mourinho is a self centred p-r-i-c-k which does Shaw no favours. Injury was about as bad as it can get. not quite on the Dave Buust level but think Lawrence Taylor on Joe Theismann and you begin to get the picture. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mznBvAGScdg

No, not a ****ing chance

As ever on the footy bit of SWF, to the point, and very probably bang on. Shaw will end up in London I expect , possibly back with Pochettino. The fact he left three years ago tells you all you need to know about his attachment to the club.

Smug, frog faced ***t.
**** is the best description I can come up with too.

They beat us
Didn't realise they'd played Portsmouth this season!

The accretion of small effects, can affect.
Or as Dave Brailsford would call it; the accumulation of marginal gains.

Hey, its a bit out there, but not beyond the realms of possibility. Anyway, the decision to schedule the vote during the euro's, when those with less perspective may have been feeling a bit hard done by, could have been a mistake.
Glastonbury could be blamed for the poor turnout of the younger vote.
-
Organised Russian gangs attacked English supporters at Euro 2016, just weeks before the vote. French police reacted slowly and blamed English fans for the violence. This may have led to bitterness and bad feeling within many English communities, and played a part in the the result. Sure, it may not have made much of an impact, but 2% was enough.
Russia benefits greatly from a distracted and divided Europe. If it was orchestrated, it was a master stroke.
Staunch pro-EU as I am if I suggested this to my wife, also very pro-EU she'd have me sectioned.

I was talking about Labour held areas, I think it was something like 7 in 10 Labour held constituencies voted for Brexit.
Large swathes of working class Britain voted for Brexit because the inequalities that exist in such areas. These are socio-economic and cultural inequalities have been there for years and years going back to the 1970s. I can't condemn it, but I can disagree with it.

Cfuk and we thought it was bad over here with the right wing moving alarmingly into the mainstream of political thinking.

Is resigned magnanimity calling Brexiteers thick racist ****s?
Not used that terminology personally. Brexit is about inequality in the UK and a society which believes it is entitled without taking any responsibility. It is a similar breeding ground to Post WW1 Germany, and we all know how that ended.
-
Had a good laugh at that... then realised it was true.
Come on though, it can't be all bad, I know a few kippers and none of them are lobbying for incandescent lightbulbs. I mean, they are racists obviously, but... well.. umm..
To be fair I agree although I would say that they have strong sense of xenophobia rather than being out and out racist. Where the line is I don't know. That said the normalising of right-wing political views in this country is a worrying trend. Even someone firmly in the centre left is denigrated, belittled and abused on here by those with right-wing leanings. (you know who are) To some extent there is resigned magnanimity amongst remainers, I don't see a lot of that reciprocated on here by Brexiteers. People have the right to object to coming out of the EU without being subject to aggressive, triumphalist ****. It's called freedom of speech. The reality is that the vote must stand. Politicians of all hues must begin to address the huge inequalities in our society in or out of the EU. Failure to do this has led to where we are today.
On purely personal level if offered individual citizenship of the EU I would take it like a shot, but that's my personal preference which I don't feel I have justify on a football messageboard.

Here's hoping Brexit goes well. Hope everyone gets out of it what they want. In for an interesting year or so. Have always maintained that the democratic decision of the people has to be upheld. Hope it doesn't impact too much on communities who voted for it. In essence it really does show how inequality in this country has been left to fester too long with the north/south divide and the haves and have-nots. Sad! I've worked in two less-resilient communities in Berkshire (sounds posher than it is) all my working life and fail to see how either result would benefit either south Reading or Easthampstead.

According to Rod Liddell ex editor of Today programme & life long labour supporter, the BBC is completely & utterly biased towards the left. He said the only surprise about this is that people actually believe they're not . He claims he was told that everybody working on Newsnight, from presenters to production staff, editors, journalists ect voted remain . How can that bias not shine through . People should also look at BBC employees tweets before saying it's not biased if I worked for the BBC my bias would show. To me Corbyn is an extremist loon , whereas Nigel is right wing. The middle ground for me is around Theresa May, & Cameron & Major are raging pinkos. That will clearly show in any coverage I'm editing. The referendum wasn't biased because it was a binary choice . It's afterwards & politics as usual, when there's further options that their bias shines through. Hence the biased post Brexit coverage which has favoured the remoaners

Hmm any more pinko, pony, snowflake, leftie, libtard type insults?

What's this to do with Brexit?
By the way you couldn't have picked a worse study to make your irrelevant point, Les. Everyone I know who work in a thinktank has dismissed this analysis, other than using the arbitary right-left labels to take the p i$$ out of each other.
Data mining -or cherrypicking Les that falls at the first hurdle of replication- is not good empirical research. Being statistically illterate not to mention clueless how the media works, you're of course none the wiser.

Whilst I agree with what you say, you need to make sure if you post links that people can access them. FT links are always behind a paywall.

Happy new wheels! I am currently using Finish Line Teflon Plus Dry Lube. I bought the aerosol version which comes with a handy nozzle to get it onto the chain without spraying it everywhere. Cleans off well and doesn't seem to attract too much dirt. I'm a bit of a saddo and re-lube my chain before each ride. I use wipes to get rid of the old lube and make sure nothing is gathering between the links. Every three or four rides I'll get some de-greaser on it and give it a more thorough clean.

Come on be honest when did you resort this 'snowflake' **** as an insult. 24th June 2016 perhaps.

I have to remind myself sometimes that some posters on this form may be of school age. Sadly, I think Larry isn't one of them. Larry12 may not, in fact, be 12.
I may be wrong but didn't someone 'out' Larry12 as a Skate last summer during the managerial upheaval?

Gut reaction is that he will be a City player pretty early on in summer window.

Looks like the PM is between a rock and a hard place as to who to p-i-s-s off. The Scots or the Brexit zealots?
Luke Shaw's stalled development. What does it say about our academy?
