Absolutely. First Matty was a better footballer more skilful and a greater range of passing and when he was younger could go past players. Played for us from 17-32 all in the prem single handily keeping us up a number of years and was loyal when he could have gone anywhere. Lambert has been the best since as Matty says but hardly even played at top flight yet and only here just over 3 years doesn't compare.

I think he's a good player but not as good as people make out. I feel his final ball is nowhere good enough. I think he's a prem player but think people overestimate how good he is. The games about end product and don't see that from him enough. His loyalty has been great and he works hard but needs to improve and today I didn't see enough end product.

How was Lallana our best player? He achieved nothing. Lambert laid in two terrific passes second half.
