U21 European championship winner! Albeit with little contribution!
Been a fantastic tournament to watch!
Helps that England have just retained the title of course!

Some speculation that the drone strikes on the airfields, that likely took out two A50s, has left them with no flying A50s.
The F16 taking down the SU35 certainly suggests they don’t have enough AEWACS capability for complete coverage any more.
It’s an extremely significant shift in the balance of power if Ukraine has AEWACS and Russia doesn’t any more.

Knock on effects are already starting to bite.
Russia has been relying more and more on their road network for logistics as their rail network is suffering from severe lack of maintenance. Now every single traffic route is snarled up with cargo traffic being inspected.-

What the Ukrainians just hit IS what the Russians use to reply.
Their ability to target Ukrainian civilian targets in the way they have been just took a significant and permanent hit.

That is a ridiculously massive hit to an extremely limited and irreplaceable Russian military capability.

Shows you how far Man Utd have fallen when not even Spursy can save their season!
That said, how are Spurs one place above the relegation zone and European Champions?

I've never seen the doctors kicking off before.
I remember Chelsea’s medic kicking off against Mourinho a few years back but the medics kicking off against each other is a new one for me as well.

No way a sending off
Not enough to be overturned by VAR. Some refs would have judged that Haaland would have had a clear sight of an open goal from a wide angle without the handball, and sent the keeper. I don't think VAR would have overturned that.

Nothing was given as Haaland was going away from goal, but surely it should have been at least a free kick for handball.
Should have been but VAR doesn't decide on that once they decided it wasn't a red. I think he was fortunate not to be sent though.

I know some people don’t like the playoff games but they just serve up absolutely fantastic matches so often, as well as keeping far more teams in a fight for something to play for far further into the season.
I do think they could make it fairer on the teams finishing higher by making it 5th vs 6th, followed by the winner of that playing 4th, followed by the winner of that playing 3rd.
It’s the same number of fixtures, albeit with trickier scheduling.

Robbie Savage reading out that his script says that "Saints have now got more points than my Derby."
A quick, light hearted blister about manager and players, before accepting he was captain of it for half a season. Done in good spirits.
Sutton calls our players an embarrassment for celebrating being the second worst team. Doesn't blame the fans who he says have had little to cheer about.
Edit: Savage calls Southampton "pathetic" and now Sutton as "amateur hour" and "loser mentality"
Someone on putting them in their place. Reminding them of them doing a job today, and getting the context completely wrong. Well done caller.
Did he think the players should just ignore the fans going nuts all around them and go “Y’know, stay quiet, we haven’t been good enough this season to be allowed to celebrate keeping a clean sheet against the champions…” It’s even funnier being able to see how much it’s irked Sutton. Probably ruined his accy or something

Having sat through this season can only make me wonder how it was possible for Derby to be so monumentally terrible that they did worse.

Well at least we never have to see Vardy score for Leicester against us ever again.
-
Wow. Burnley with 100 points, invincible at home, and miss out on the title in injury time on goal difference.
-
Well we’ve had worse days this season!

Absolute daylight robbery that Palace got anything from that.

Interesting, thanks.
Once I started playing the video it was in the correct orientation.
Oh, in that case it was probably engagement farming, using an image to get people to just start watching, in this case reversing the image used for the thumbnail of the video to imply that Americans didn't even recognise the world map being reversed in the video.

The original wasn’t like that of course but why do some images and videos get posted in reversed form?
Usually it’s done to evade automatic copyright detection that would automatically flag it for removal on video sharing sites.
Sometimes it’s because the video capture reverses or rotates the video at record time (usually if it’s been recorded on a phone) so it displays correctly while it’s being recorded, and uses metadata to allow it to be played back later the same way. If the metadata gets lost at some point through the video being processed or uploaded, the video isn’t oriented to the correct way when it’s played.

Every single ally the US has are currently moving to isolate from the US as much as is possible and are treating its president like a toddler.
