  1. yes i think you were right about that
  2. [h=2]1930s[/h] In the 1930s, the Daily Mail was politically sympathetic to fascism, and Lord Rothermere wrote articles praising the British Union of Fascists and their leader Oswald Mosley in particular for showing “sound, commonsense, Conservative doctrine”. One headline notoriously read "Hurrah for the Blackshirts". However, he toned down his support after the Fascist party was involved in street violence. The Mail’s political stance was also influenced by Rothermere’s personal friendship with both Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party – the only newspaper to support them both consistently. Rothermere sent Hitler a telegram of congratulations after Germany invaded the Sudetenland in 1938. The paper also published The Protocols of The Elders of Zion in serial form, and ran inflammatory articles about Jewish immigrants.[4] Neville Chamberlain’s appeasement policy was supported by the Daily Mail until after the Munich Agreement, but the newspaper changed its stance after the Nazi invasion of Poland in 1939. This change of attitude may have been influenced by Chamberlain’s threat to close them down.
  3. I agree with you about max Hastings and his mail ilk
  4. sorry to disapoint the nutty right but I belong to the centre ground and I dependant and voted for the Tories at the last election but I suppose your ilk think every ones a lefty if your moderate.good luck on reading the mail the paper which supported Hitler against our country in the past.
  5. agree and its in the morons number 1 paper for nutjobs.max Hastings is just another knob mouthpeace from the Tory right.
  6. i thought health care is what our soldiers after the war demanded and did not wish to return to the prewar years of working class people dieing young. i suppose if you have not been in that position you would not understand why.
  7. cameron had to make the torys electable after the 80s nasty party and you can only do that from the centre and i believe he is a one nation tory of the old school .
  8. so whats america excuse which has a far bigger deficit and two of the biggest spenders ever were ronald reagon and george bush and the country is run by big business corporations. and china does not rely on financial services and crooked banks to fund the get rich culture like the uk of people who make nothing and gambol with other peoples money rather then investing in our industry's and small business and taking along term view.the reason we are in this mess we have bailed out the banks around the world and i also believe germany is sill a powerhouse because the still make cars ,tooling etc and great education system in place unlike our two tier system.
  9. ha ha this made me laugh tongue in cheek i expect
  10. no hes still called Lord Jeffrey Archer
  11. 15 years is to long and i expect that would have been reduced by the parliamentary house committee stage but at the moment they are there for life.
  12. don.t forget the crooks like Geoffrey archer and his ilk and tax avoiders like lord ashcroft etc and those who work for the interest of big business who line their own pockets from all the major partys.
  13. i agree i expect cameron wants to be a moderniser of his party and inclusive one nation tory rather than a old pensioners party stuck in the last century.
  14. Maclean, the former Tory MP for Penrith, (whose true constituency was the Fortune 500 company index) and the type of person that gives yobs and muggers a bad name, apparently pleads ‘not guilty’ and sees no wrong nor conflict of interests using his House of Lords seat to forward agendas of bribery and corruption by lobbying for foreign governments and money-grasping commercial interests, while claiming the maximum expenses possible (£5,500 quid per month) from the British taxpayer’s purse. Inquiries by the Daily ****raker have established that Blencathra, in his unqualified arrogance, has lobbied on behalf of the Caymans while claiming thousands of pounds in taxpayer-funded House of Lords attendance allowances. Since being elevated to the Upper House, Blencathra has abused his position to personally lobby Chancellor George Osborne to reduce the burden of air passenger transport taxes on the Caymans – then facilitated an all-expenses-paid trip to the Caymans for three senior MPs with an interest in the islands over the Easter recess, including the chairman of the influential Conservative backbench 1922 Committee – all of whom are followers of the Church of Mammon - the Cayman Islands official religion. yes we have some great crooks who can still get paid to line their own pockets and interests..
  15. sounds good to me but i cannot see the mps and die hard brain dead supporters of these partys spreading more democracy because of self interest and hopefully they get rid of the silly lords title .
  16. lets hope its pompey being liguidated.
  17. the reforms would reduce the lords to 450 mps which is still to high but agree their are to many mps which could be reduced by 50 %
  18. i agree unfortunately the peasents still love the lords ,its about time we stopped being scared of more democracy and had a fully elected second chamber to keep a eye on the winner takes all first chamber. the trouble is most of the right wing of the tory party have used lords reform to trying to unseat cameron has leader to impose their ideological purity and want to force him to follow their agenda and take them back to the nasty party of the 80s..
  19. the euro was a good idea in practise but if you bend the rules to allow weak country s in,it was never going to work plus you would need to pool more of your sovereignty and fiscal policy and a cental bank of last resort.
  20. sorry to upset anyone of that great party
  21. glad you went with a open mind and i would always recommend anyone who buys a phone to have a play with all the phones to see what suits them rather then go with latest trendy overpriced phone and gimmicks.hope you enjoy your galaxy s3 proberly the one i would have gone for followed by the nokia lumia 900.
  22. i agree and since the monster raven looney party collapsed ukip has gone from strength to strength:)
  23. I don't think so ask the average small businesses if the bankers lend to them and big coporations don't pay tax only small people do.
  24. I've got no faith in either party has the Tories are paid by taxavoiders and the city and labour have sucked up to them under thatchers son Blair.so when they start putting in jail the crooks we have bailed out for years and shut down tax fiddles by being based in the Cayman isles etc the working person will carry on being taken for mugs.
  25. sorry i think tory boy is a prat who acts like hes still at public school and.he should never be his present job and hopefully he will be replaced by someone who can be do the job..im not impressed by ed balls either its embarrassing for parliment to see two schoolboys playing modern day flashmen idiots.
