  1. You don't need a fucking unkempt beard and a pint of vegan beer in your hand to know what an algorithm is. Clue: it's not a jeffin' spreadsheet. And for the love of Christ, the proof isn't in the pudding!! For all the shit you do write (not all that you write is shit) if you're going to use a bullshit phrase at least use it correctly.
  2. Most teams these issues do result in a drop in form, mostly that would be accepted too. Over a season, unless you are exceptionally unlucky, these things even themselves out. Feels a tad harsh to judge after 7 games.
  3. McKenna wasn’t an instant success, it took an incredible run of 13 wins from the last 15 to gain promotion last season.
  4. Is that seriously a comparison you’re looking to draw here??
  5. Press conferences are nearly as bad as post match player interviews. A tedious, fucking waste of time, the only beneficiaries are the sponsors logos in the background.
  6. Awesome maths skills. The L column is less than the W column, not bad considering the stench from the bed sheets. I’m repeating myself but if we stay in touch till Christmas we’ll be in a good place to kick on. I’m not writing us off after 2 poor performances.
  7. You mean the P6 W3 D1. The table doesn’t lie, or does it??
  8. I’m guessing Forest was before your time as a Saints fan.
  9. 2 bad results and all the beds are well and truly shat.
  10. Before the game against Leicester we were 2 points behind them, so despite us being in the process of transforming our playing style we're not far that off the favourites to win the league. Things are a little bleak at present; but if we can continue to stay in touch, get a fully fit squad back including Ross Stewart and the plan starts coming together we could be stronger for it.
  11. All strength to you, Whitey and your family at this sad and difficult time.
  12. My original point, possibly badly made, was countering the suggestion that the Leicester coach got his tactics spot on. He didn’t have too, we laid it on a plate for them with our inability to keep the ball under the slightest bit of pressure. KWP is an excellent full back, I doubt many have looked at him and thought he could play in midfield. The best inverted full backs are those that can receive and retain under pressure, classic midfielder traits. THB and Charles as CBs having just been introduced to each other following international break was brave to say the least, especially coming into a team that were subject to a drubbing the game before. Was Holgate injured? Removed from the firing line to such an extent that 2 youngsters were preferred? How does he come back from that. I really want RM to succeed as his football does have the potential to excite (in the right way) but maybe the players are not ready for the challenges being set.
  13. It’s not tactics, it’s elementary errors in ball possession.
  14. Not really. Leicester were not “set up to take advantage” we failed to keep the ball, most formations would’ve been sufficient of that.
  15. Horseshit. We were the architects of our downfall, Leicester took advantage superbly.
  16. Tough game for THB to make his debut in, if he does. I’m looking forward to seeing him though, RM is a big fan.
  17. Happy to be proven wrong?
  18. What are you talking about? No one is saying anyone is exempt from criticism. There’s been one goal this season he should’ve saved, some goals he could’ve saved. The heat is on the wrong position.
  19. Put the shovel down, time to move on
  20. You do get that if Bazunu played behind the City defence he'd concede a lot less goals than he does playing behind the Saints defence, right?
  21. You're making no sense. Manning clearly has good delivery but you'd rather he didn't take the corner, stand 10 yards off a player so he has a head start in a counter attack. Ok.
  22. Best keep that pedestrian away from defending fast counter attacks then
  23. You've got to wonder how Liverpool have gotten away with their full backs taking the opposite corners for years..
  24. It didn't look good. we've definitely played better this season. For me, at the moment the positives outweigh the negatives. Few players to bed in, some youngsters in the mix, new way of playing and a losing mentality to get rid of. I'm really looking forward to a fit Ross Stewart coming in.
  25. The goal came from the second phase of play following that break by Sunderland. Edozie does well to hold the attack up and allow us to regain numerical advantage, in the phase that followed Edozie switches off.
