Ive started approx 300 threads in 7 years... Thats way less than 1 thread per week. Take away the match threads, match reactions and build up threads and i average one new thread every 3-4 weeks, hardly excessive. Same on the posting side... I average 3-4 posts per day (excl match threads). Enough to avoid if people really wanted too. I get accused of people leaving the forum.... But no examples. The reality is people actually join because of me.... Look at goatboy for example, he only signed up so he could go toe to toe

I think youve missed the point. There are 50-60 regular posters on here - If those 60 were to meet daily and discuss saints there would be arguements, fights, point scoring and bickering, no different to how it plays out on here. If you have a large group you will always get a mixture of ages, characters, opinions, views, interpretation, expectation It seems some on here want everyone to be the same = sterile, boring, no opinion either way, "happy to have a club" ect Thats not 'real life' mate. For those that want news read the OS or BBC, for those happy to discuss Saints with a mix of characters should stick with SWF and try not to take everything so serious. (All imho)

I have acknowledged that myself in the past - its just the way I look at things. I do the same in my job and it produces results and have applied the same outlook to my life and im not doing to badly. Always look on the bright side of life – I’m told (at least once a week) I am delighted with our season as I have said many many times, I am excited for the future and am hoping for a season of spend + improvement. I do however like to understand the bigger picture and with one win all season against the top 10 I thought it was value for discussion. I am accused of being a troll but when I request examples of the "troll" posts they are never given. I don’t consider myself a troll - far from it. Im just a Saints fan that praises when he can, but not unconditionally. I get a lot of abuse and rarely retaliate or insult other posters I work for an investment team - you make someone £200,000 and I want to make them 400,000..... don’t ever settle, keep challenging and don’t accept mediocrity or 2nd best. Show me a good loser and ill show you a loser!!

The insults dont worry me one bit.... Its not unresonable to want to discuss one win against the top 10 sides given we are nearing the end of the season. However any discussion about poor runs or poor sets of results are not allowed it seems. I think when posters dont have the answers they find it easier to just insult others. I dont take it personally as anyone that raises the difficult questions gets abuse, not just me

This is going a bit of topic - so ill remind you of the question again. You are given £150m and your pick of the league 1 teams Could you get them from league 1 to mid table premiership in 4 years? £150m can be used to cover wages, transfers, staff, hiring, firing etc etc

Look at Pompey.... with money FA cup finals, fa cup winners, Europe, top 10 prem without relegated from prem, relegated from champ, relegated from l1, near bottom of l2

And the team that spent the most..... Won Look at the prem table.... Teams that spent the most are at the top. Same in every league around the world. You can find one or two examples of teams that temporarily buck the trend, but the facts dont change. To be succesful, you dont need a great chairman or manager.... You need ££££

While notts county had the money they rose very quickly. As soon as the money stopped they dropped like a stone. The perfect example of money = success, strange that you would use them as an example of the opposite? You realise leicester are top of the championship, 17 points of 3rd? Yes i dont think he was planning on spending the £150m in a oner. The best league 1 side ever He made a good point though. . . The teams leaving league 1 (norwich, leeds, brighton, saints, sheff weds, afcb) over the last few years have all spent big (comparatively) and much like the prem, L1 is very much who spends the most rather than who has the best boss or best chairman. I think he was right... With £150m you could get any l1 side into the prem

Was playing in a golf tournament today and got chatting with a Carlisle ST holder. Asked him his thoughts on Saints and he said.... We give him hope that one day carlisle will to be in the prem. Said they just need a billionaire with 150m to spend. Says hes convinced any league 1 side would get to the prem if given the same financial backing we have had.
