The article is the past - so much has changed since then. Germany dont excuse performances now, just because they lost the 1966 world cup. For every reason/excuse for why we are doing poorly, there are probably 2 or 3 reasons why we should be doing better. This season is dead (league wise) I accept that. What worries me, is so many are convinced that next season will be so different......tell me why?

Teams dont take the JPT cup seriously - we do ( I question why ) Luton are the holders and they were relegated from L2 last season. We mocked the skates for celebrating the Asia trophy - JPT is equally pointless.

Nick - if we stuck with the team that was relegated last season (ala Charlton who are 3rd) the whole "get back on its feet" excuse would wash. We didnt - we signed the best players from BR, MKDs (Plymouth), Colchester, Southend, Crystal Place and Exeter. The team we have now is not riddled/obsessed with Saints past (they werent part of it) Next excuse?

Why? I go to loads of games.....went to Saints v Man United last season and went to watch games against liverpool, arsenal, Chelsea and Man united a few year back (when we were in the prem)
