If we cant dominate sides like Stockport at home we have no chance. Last S'port win was in October. Team + subs cost under 100k Lambert cost 10x more on his own.

I would 'buy in' to this if we stuck/worked with the team that was here last year - but we didnt. We have signed 15 players.

I don't quite understand the 'no pre-season' arguement. We did have a pre-season, its just AP was only here for the last few weeks of it. Wotte took the rest.

All cool! I'm glad you feel my posts have some effect on events, but trust me they don't. I am a passionate fan that likes to vent frustration on here from time to time. When I get chance to watch Saints I am super positive and get behind every player for the whole game (win, lose or draw) You will rarely see me criticize any player individually, my 'negative' posts are also mis-understood. I just want the best for Saints and feel that this season we could maybe have done better (results wise) If you could look back at my history here (Delldays will tell you) I was one of Burleys most vocal supporters, I was determined to back him while he remained our manager despite the growing pressure. I was banned from this site a few times for supporting him too agressively. I am a huge supporter of Saints - I simply use this site to discuss, debate and vent. I rarely get personal with any poster, just have an opinion and like to make sure every ****er on here hears it

Davis, Conolly, Perry and Jaidi have already played in the top flight - i'm confident Fonte, Lallana, Lambert and maybe Spiderman could do the same. Waigo has played in the top flight in Italy...........

I didnt say we are 'Playing the best in L1' this thread is about our squad, not our form or should/would/could we be doing better. We are 15th - does every team above us have better squads (dont be daft) The only team I think can compete is Leeds.

Thats Leeds 5 best players and i'd still say Saints win.

Its sad but true - I support Saints far more than I support England. Players like Terry, Ferdinand, David James & Ashley Cole are over-paid, obnoxious and full of self importance! Very few characters in the England side now too - just full of spoilt ****s.

Just because they are above us doesnt mean they have a better sqaud. player for player i'd say ours is quite significantly better than Leeds

A midfield of Lallana, Puncheon, Hammond & Schneiderlin is pretty decent. Would be better than alot of CCC sides, let alone L1

You will never get people to agree on that. I said that the team that played Brentford (Incl. Subs) had a transfer value of 10 million + but was told by quite a few that the 'true' value was more like 3 million.

Puncheon signing appears to be the last until the summer - another top player added to our L1 squad. Good at signing players - not so good on the pitch sadly. That's 15 signings already for AP.

We have spent well over 3 million and made no money on players sold. I hope its not a loan or we could be fooked when he moves on. AP will spend as much as he can & move on ala Redknapp if things turn sour. Pleased with the signings, not sure we needed quite so many and question if some of the signings are any better than we have already. AP is well known for trying to 'fix' problems with more signings - with a billionaire backer he maybe getting carried away? The next manager will not be given the same licence to spend, so hope AP gets it right.
