Sorry I don't get excited about signing average backup players, just incase our best player gets injured. What message does this give the team? You're doing 'alright - not great, just ok' BUT carry on regardless. What our team needed this Jan was a kick up the backside and competition for places will deliver that hard and fast. This team has a potential to be an 8.5/10 in L1 but its playing at maybe 4.5/10. Signing average 'backup' aint gunna change that.

Id prefer AP to sign the likes of Simeon Jackson to challenge Lambert for his place, not just contently 'back him up in case of injury' I want a team full of quality, not a decent 1st team with 'ok' backup!
