I had the biggest buzz on Saturday pre-game..and i haven't been that exited for aaaages...and unlike usual, when that buzz is evaporated within 10mins of kick off...it's actually still with me now.

Heard some rumors that they're set for admin within the next 48 hours, not sure how true though.

Reports are coming out tonight that deal is off as they cannot match the wage demands - and that they are set for admin within 48 hours. Will watch with interest..

But really we should have made this sort of signing when we got relegated to the championship, a proven striker who could hit 20+ goals at that level. We didn't, we let our strikers go - that's why we finished 12.

Completely different mentality now - the top goalscorer in league 1 signed...if you sign the best you'll become the best.

I think we need to be patient with him though, he may not hit off straight away - but if you want a chance to fall to a player, he's the 1 player in league 1 you'd want it to fall too.

This is a HUGE statement of intent, there possibly isn't a bigger one we could have made at this stage.

You get relegated to league 1....what do you do? Spend £1m on last seasons joint top scorer (in all the English leagues). I'd have been bloody chuffed if we'd signed him as a champonship club.

IMO it's a bargain for what he will bring to us.

i think it's different with evening games though?

They have to sign before 12pm for 3pm/lunch time kicks offs - but i think we have a bit more leeway in evening games.

Hope so, although it would be attractive for Lambert will he defo get games ?? Plus borough is a sh!thole so i am not sure if he has family etc and Brizzle isn't actually that far away from here tbh.

I *think* we're safe with this one.

He will be an awesome player. He's got so much natural ability and has the perfect coach to nurture that - he'll play a big role for arsenal this season and then will be in the world cup squad IMO.
