Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
S-Clarke replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
Well apparently, we're a small team anyway. I find that comment quite funny coming from the chairman of a current SFL Div 3 team. “There will be a European league because big teams can’t keep subsidisng small teams like Southampton for the next 10 years because they will go stale. “Arsenal don’t want to play Southampton or Swansea, but ask them if they want to play Celtic or Rangers. It’s what the fans want to see. “Fans across the world want to see Manchester United play Southampton or Swansea, they want to see them play Rangers and Celtic" -
West Ham are what I would call a well drilled outfit, they know what they're doing and they know their jobs. They are packed with premiership experience and this shows, they have that grit and know how to get over the line in tight games in the PL. We don't, yet. We're learning, but learning slowly. I don't quite think WHU are this mega club which some of their fans are making them out to be, they're a middle of the road PL club - that's pretty much their levle unless they get serious investment. I'd like to think it's the sort of game we can make our mark on, but I just get a feeling that their tactics will slightly come out on top. He's only played for 1 game, but we will miss Gaston's calmness on the ball and his ability to hold onto it in tight situations. It would have been handy to have him as WHU like to keep it tight, make the pitch small and crowd the middle. I think we've got a chance, but wouldn't be at all surprised if they were just a little too shrewd than us at the moment.

Christ, yeah, tell me about it. The days of being run by Lowe and Wilde are long gone, now that was when we were well run - I miss those days.. They knew what they were doing! Bloody Cortese hasn't got a clue............!!!!! We clearly need a fan on the board to sort all this out. (this is a sarcastic post incase it gets lost on the internet)

Used to be pretty loyal to firefox, but it's recent additions have been abysmal. Constant crashing, flash errors, the works. Now on chrome. Doubt i'll be going back.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD

But I don't think it's anything imminent. It makes sense for the club to explore the possibility of it, what the logistics are - what area's can and can't be upgraded. No harm in that, but it doesn't mean we're going to do that rather than buy defenders! We need to be an established PL team before we will even attempt to do this, and that's a few years away. (if we stay up this year that is). -
Good news I reckon, I don't think he's too far away from being in contention for WHU. More time with us as well, same as Gaston (albeit not training). We did have a fair few away on the last international break, so will be nice to keep most of the group together for this one.

Since when has Lallana been a diver?
-
Given the fact that we're not in the relegation zone, then yeah, absolutely impossible to see us getting out of it at this stage.
-
lol brilliant.
-
Yep, and beyond. So you won't have to be restless as we'll still have NA in charge.
-
Was it really predicted? No, I didn't think so. Why do people thrive on negativit.y Bizarre mindsets.

This is a positive thread, HTH.

Training Ground Development - "temporarily suspended"

Calm down. -
We always look like scoring (and do), against anyone.

I watched the 3-3 game last night, and he looked fine. Made a couple of cracking saves, and distributed the ball pretty well. He didn't have a chance with any of the goals really. He's probably not the player he was 2 or 3 years ago, but I think we have a good GK set up now - just what we needed as a PL team. Gazzaniga has the shirt on merit at the mo though, I think he's been a breath of fresh air in goal.

Grade 3 dead leg. You will be unable to walk properly without the aid of crutches. You will be in severe pain. You will have bad swelling appear immediately. A static contraction will be painful and might produce a bulge in the muscle. Expect to be out of competition for 3 to twelve weeks. What can the athlete do? Seek medical attention immediately. R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate.) Use crutches. What can a Sports Injury Specialist or Doctor do? Use sports massage techniques to speed up recovery in the later stages. Do not massage in the acute painful stage or this may cause severe damage including Myositis Ossificans.. Use ultrasound and electrical stimulation. Prescribe a rehabilitation programme and monitor it. Operate if needed. Apparently he was operated on to relieve some of the pressure late last week.

Bit harsh isn't it? I think he's clearly full of ability, but the reality is that he's not available enough.
-
Great post. As you said, I think he's earned a fair bit of slack here. But he does need a bit more luck with injuries, otherwise his hands a seriously tied.
-
Damn you, you've probably put him out for another 6 months with that.
-
oh dear me. same old story.
-
Even they've forgotten about Tadannari. Maybe it was all a dream, and we never actually signed him.
-
Very serious. He's a useless player. I really don't rate him, he does nothing.

2-1 sinclair. great cross
