  1. I doubt Cork will be fit.
  2. If played in his right position always felt sorry for him on the left, was kind of being hung out to dry.
  3. That The9 fella claimed Lambert is a donkey, and that Rodriguez is already better. what does he know?
  4. Ah brill, Rodriguez. 1-0 Show your class fella. Top player.
  5. Antonio should have put Wednesday 1-0 up
  6. Lee is turning into a bit of a sicknote, real shame.
  7. Playing directly up front, sounds like he's very involved.
  8. I'm probably lagged
  9. Ah, unlucky jay. Would love him to get off the mark tonight.
  10. As the scoreline currently suggests.....Leeds 1 - 0 Eve
  11. TBF, everyone said that about us last season. Momentum is a massive thing in football, if you have that in the lower leagues you can be hard to stop.
  12. I think that's a fair thing to say. On their day, Arsenal can do that to any team - even established PL teams. If you're slightly off your game, and they're right on it - bang. They created shed loads of chances yesterday, but weren't as clinical (typically). Overall though, we've had a tough start but I think we've aquitted ourselves really well and - apart from the blemish of the Arsenal game - we've not really looked out of place against anyone. I'd worry more for Reading. They've had a pretty easy start fixtures wise, compared to us, but they're in a worse position. They don't score goals on the whole, or create many chances. That's why I think we'll be ok - we always create chances, against any team, and as long as we continue to do that we will win more than we lose. It's still hard to judge anything yet, give it until around November time and I think it will all start taking a little bit of shape.
  13. I assume you've just looked at the Barnsley score? He kept that score down fwiw. Will be a very good keeper, but still learning the ropes.
  14. He's got his head down and is playing with the right attitude. He's had a mixed time here, to say the least, but he's been given a 2nd chance and he's taken it with both hands. He's a talented player, but he just needs to work on his consistency, his game can still be a little eratic - if he had that, then he'd have been a PL player long before now.
  15. I also had no idea what that was about.
  16. I posted some classics in the match thread. Totally deluded. Not sure who they think they are. This is what happens when you constantly sell your best players. You become ****. HTH.
  17. I also cannot see anything on his twitter feed.
  18. Listening to Adkins, he said that ''Boruc comes in as our number 3 keeper"
  19. Funny you should say that...from a Chelski fan. Anonymous via text: "I am serious about swapping Fernando Torres for Rickie Lambert. I have been following Lambert since he was at Bristol Rovers and I would say there has been no better English striker than him, apart from Rooney on a really good day, in the last five years. The only thing he lacks is pace. He is top quality in every other attribute as you will come to recognise this season. This player is a mix of Shearer, Gerrard and Drogba! I am not joking. I swear on my life."
  20. Very uneducated fans methinks. Still living in the MoN era.
  21. SDR is the forgotten man, but quite simply, he's not up to it which is why he's not been involved. Would expect Cork to be on the bench, and get a 30min or so run out. Would expect the likes of Rodriguez, Mayuka, Seaborne etc to get starts.
  22. What planet are Villa fans living on? They're not as massive as they think they are. ''Got outplayed by the worst team in the league'' ''let's be honest, soton are ****'' ''we got done by, essenially, a championship team'' ''Not one of Southampton's players would get in our 11, that's the worrying thing'' errr...ok, out of the clouds you come Villa. You are now a pretty **** team, full of average young players. hth.
  23. Very effective 15mins. His pace caused all sorts of problems, looked to have a great touch as well as he brought one down and hit it...just wide. I think he's going to be a very exciting weapon for us to use this season. Teams won't know a great deal about him for a start.
  24. This thread just makes you realise what a great journey we've been on. 2nd half team - Richardson, Fonte, Lallana, Morgan, Punch, Lambert - all from our L1 team. A real rise to success, a real refreshing football story.
  25. I don't know, he's not afraid to get stuck in and he did help out at the back at times. Very strong and so hard to get the ball off of, Villa struggled all 2nd half (and even when he got in the first half)
