  1. Markus had a dream that people would at least know how he apelled his name. It was part of the initial 5 year plan put togerher with his friend Cortese. Seems like one piece of the plan that failed. :-(

    Ironic

  2. I didn't see this on the template -

And the former England C international sees no reason why the Blues cannot become the next Burton Albion in securing successive promotions from League Two to the Championship.

It's good to have a dream.

    There is an England C?

  3. Sky at both SMS and Goodison telling us live that likely to be confirmed tomorrow.

I think Ron has the right idea - he has effed on holiday again, leaving the clubs, fans and media winding each up. Genius

  4. When Guan made reference to a change of direction towards the back end of the season I'd be interested to see if he can expand on that and / or if the change of direction he mentioned refers to a Manager that he thinks we may not be able to get now.

Hope the change of direction wasn't referring to league position

  5. He was always going this summer. The way he waved to the crowds on the final day of the season, was a wave of a man saying goodbye.

reckon his head has been at Goodson since before xmas

  6. Teams with big enough stadiums that there is at least a remote possibility of getting a ticket.

Completely - although knowing our luck we will get the ridiculous small stadiums and you will need 15 away games for the past 10 years to qualify for a ticket

  7. *Yawn*

    Precisly?

Is this another of Dave's big businesses who have been co-opted to save his bacon by threatening dire consequences if we left the EU? I'm sure that the Beeb also loves putting out these stories on a daily basis in the run-up to the referendum.

Pardon my scepticism and cynicism, but are we really to believe that Fujitsu will wish to jeopardise this business they do with the UK? It seems to me that they are here because we have a workforce competent in IT on the one hand and that on the other hand they are therefore able to apply their technological expertise to offer a service to a largely British business customer base. But no doubt if this was not the case, and it was a questions of wage costs, they could always do a Ford and re-locate to Turkey.

As the largest Japanese employer in the region, we employ 14,000 people who work with us every day to keep the UK and Ireland running smoothly, with our products and services touching 99% of the UK population every day. From high street shopping and online banking through to transport bookings and driving licences, in the UK and Ireland, we are:

Enabling the processing of 2.8 million passports every year

Managing more than 20,000 retail outlets and over 85,000 point of sale devices

Processing over 10 million driving licence updates and almost a million new licences every year

Enabling Ireland’s Road Safety Authority to process hundreds of driving test applications every day

Supporting 1,000 staff, including 150 judiciary members in 70 locations for the Irish Courts Service

Helping financial services providers to serve over 40 million customers and operate over 20,000 local branches

Connecting 300,000 defence users in over 2,000 locations worldwide.

When it comes to the implications of trade post-Brexit, then the consequences are explained quite clearly in the articles I linked too above. They give me optimism that large companies like Fujitsu are here for a good reason which won't go away if we left the EU, and there will also be benefits for companies like them in trading with us freed from the bureaucratic restraints that are imposed currently by Brussels. Whilst we are discussing the impact on business, then once again it is pertinent to point out that the EU regulations that are imposed on the 6% of businesses that export to the EU, are applied to the 94% of businesses that do not.

So what out of that lot is not going to happen if we leave the EU? Someone is going to have to manage the 85k POS devices, and issue driving licences each year.

  8. Delph Hendersen Wilshire Sterling Milner WTF

Rooney I guess had to make it

Much as I dislike the hammers this year surely Noble should be in

I would even prefer Antonio to Sterling at least he is on form

    Usual Liverpool Love in

If Roy ever picked that c*** then he can take the entire england team, support staff and team coach and shove it up his arris.

  9. Depends on your viewpoint. So you think a retiree should have any influence on the rights of current workers? Also, Nolan, my point is that when you tarr every union with the mistakes of the past (the past being the point) you denigrate the hard work of generations that came before it because if they were never there, it's fair to say many of the hard earned rights we have today would not exist.

I take issue with the notion that because some one is old and retired their opinion about working people isn't relevant. For some one who is quick to condemn discrimination against the disabled, I find it odd that you seemingly discriminate of grounds of age.

  10. No, you have a point but Labour should never forget where it came from and to kinda bring up anti-semitism is almost a dagger in the very foundation of the party. I had a disagreement with my father today who (unlike my mother, who's a staunch Labourite) kinda is a swing voter, and he was banging on about the crooked unions and how they should never return to the party.

My viewpoint was that he's basically retired so he really has no say in the working life of people and that his views are somewhat archaic and that today is a new world and we can't let people of his age colour our judgement of the left because they virtually ruined the image of those hardworking men who built the friendly societies and the unions, people like those from my father's village who were shipped off to Australia for striking and that we should realise that what happened with things like the breaking of the Heath government are not and should not be viewed as the inevitable result and conclusion of those many years.

Sorry, bit of a rant there but I understand a lot of what you say, I just feel whatever we call hard left will never and can never be the same as before.

I disagree with a lot that you say, but this one statement is the biggest load of bo locks I have read on this site for a long time.

  11. Technically you would have to pay CGT as it isn't your principle private residence.

However if your mum is going to keep the entire proceeds of the sale, then maybe you can gift your share to your mum prior to the sale and the she can sell tax free as it is her principle residence. You might want to get some advice, but I think it might fly.

the only proviso is that you have to survive 7 years. It worked for Cameron mum.
