This thread is hilarious, I can just imagine Turkish laughing to himself every time he posts, our woke posters on the other hand will be getting more and more angry.

Surely only 'bird' can be objected to, nowadays a sexist expression, 'big' is a little bit iffy for a woman (not a man). Using the word 'black' to identify someone in a team of mostly white players, I don't see a problem.

No obviously . Tall striker may be , big , white and bird no!
Are you really undecided on whether the adjective 'tall' could be offensive? 😀

Ok, so if an African team happened to field a white player and Turks mentioned the 'white girl', would that be acceptable?

Batman, the point here is whether calling someone a "big black bird" is acceptable. It isn't.
If the rest of the team were black and the tall girl up front was white, would 'big white bird' be acceptable? Just asking for a friend.

Agyemang came across very well in her interview after the game, spoke well and was incredibly humble, fait play to her.

I get no pleasure from watching that, you have to feel for her. Sadly she, like most of the government are out of their depth. Even with a massive majority it's all unravelling pretty damn quickly.

Enjoying Future Islands. The front man is an interesting character. Clearly pours his heart and soul into the performance.
To be fair, I do like Future Islands.

Reports of possible Iranian attack on US airbase in Qatar. I’m supposed to be flying into Doha next week for a connecting flight down to Tanzania FFS 😯

Population of Gaza Strip is 2.1million.
So as barbaric as some of the IDF tactics seem if they were just wilfully wanting to kill hospital patients and innocents those casualties would be massively higher.
As genocides go, it’s a pretty poor effort

When was the last time the Southampton owner stated the intention to spend hundreds of millions on capacity and facilities upgrades at the stadium?
Did he actually say this? Genuine question, I've only seen snippets on X from Blackmore and AlfiHouse and not seen this quoted.

You've had about six hours to bump this thread, poor going on your part.

Stuart Pearce stood in front of me watching the Buzzcocks last night in Guildhall Square.
Previously Kevin Keegan and the Man City squad at Manchester Airport. Jason Dodd and Chris Nicholl at David Lloyd.

I once nutmegged Rueben Agboola in a five-a-side, didn't bump into him but was past him in a flash.
Met with Malcolm Waldron a long time ago when he was working as a salesman and then years later discovered I was working with his daughter.
I was on the same flight to Paris as Robert Pires the day after the 2003 Cup Final, didn't bump into him but should have.
