Yep. Who cares about this one. I wanted them to throw so much at Leicester that many of the players would have to sit this one out due to exhaustion. This is no use to us, wow, big deal 14th or whatever.

Why couldn't we be as direct as this in the semi? Leicester were there for the taking!

I like him as a player, what he brings etc. But weren't we saying that about the late chance vs Burnley and many of his other chances that 9 out of 10 would go in?

Saints player has 2 options to play in a decisive ball for a great scoring chance, 1 shot for passes it straight to the only defender, 2 shots for tries to dribble through and runs straight into only defender, 3 shots for stops, turns back, plays ball back to a defender.

One thing that stood out in this game and many others. We do get the ball into some very good positions but the final ball is often overhit, underhit, or passed straight to a defender. Sometimes it’s a really simple ball. It happens time and time again but never seems to be addressed. You would think pros would be able to put close to the correct weight on a ball. All I can think of is that they wear themselves out trying to get the ball back, then when it comes to passing they have tired jelly legs and muff it. Again you’d think pros would have the fitness for this to not happen all that often but to me it looks like the old timer league I play in with everyone huffing and puffing.

The players and Ralph are having a laugh if they think we “left it all out there” today. I’d have preferred for us to have battered them all game and then several players have to miss the Spurs game due to exhaustion. JWP must be the most timid captain out there. Doubt Jimmy Case would have just tiptoed around the field not saying boo to anyone.

If team can’t raise their game in an FA Cup semi then what is the point? Losing 1-0 with no real decent attempts on goal is much harder to stomach than if we lost 3-2 but the players had to be helped from the field at the end through exhaustion. Guess they were just saving themselves for training where they’ll be all smiles wearing their gloves and scoring acrobatic volleys vs the canteen staff, I mean goalies...

What’s the point of getting to a semi to just make sure and not lose too badly. What a colossal waste of time.
