Does the ref still get a buzz notification to his watch when the ball crosses the line. What a shit show.
-
Good energy from that black lives matter bloke, he’s everywhere!
-
That’s nuts. VAR fella must have dozed off. It’s not even close!
-
Lol. Fricken Grealish!
-
How’s that not a goal. Villa goalie pushed behind the line with the ball by own player. VAR?
-
Grealish going to ground before contact. Amazing that refs are not cottoning on. He’s looking to go to ground any time an opponent gets near him.
-
Are you lot getting the same feed as me with the cringy reactions of fans watching at home on their couches all decked out in replica shirts, hats, scarves? lol. Embarrassing.

For seasonal flu viruses we have established herd immunity and vaccines. We don’t have that with covid (yet). Covid deaths are high even with lockdown and social distancing.
-
USA think it’s the Olympics. They’ll likely surpass 250k
-
You’re missing the point entirely. The flu deaths are in a population that are largely protected by either prior exposure to (one of the many subtypes of) flu viruses or have had a flu shot (epidemiologists predict which subtypes will be present). This subtype of Coronavirus is novel and has different surface antigens to other circulating coronaviruses. Exposed people will largely make immune cells against the novel surface antigens (also known as epitopes) but it takes time. In that time, vulnerable people may die. We don’t know a few important things about this virus. Namely: How long it can survive in droplets or on inanimate objects. What the average length of incubation is. Which stages of disease that those infected are infective. Stages include incubation period, disease state, recovery etc. Until we know more about these questions then the best bet is to isolate everyone.
-
But he wasn’t good at maintaining social distancing on the pitch...
-
If that turns out true it will be BECAUSE of the isolation measures that have been undertaken. Carrying on regardless (as we would do in flu season) would result in much higher death tolls.
-
Oh come on ref, that hit him on the respirator tube, no way that’s a peno, are you blind?
-
Saints being one of those teams.

At the end of the day it’s just football. They need to focus on the little people here who now can’t earn a wage or their small business has suffered due to the shutdown. A few nice gestures going about in North American sport whereby star players are paying those arena workers etc. who can’t earn anything during this crisis.

Just hearing Mané got 3 in a row, all on his own We got ripped off there..
-
watch us give up a 3 in a row with the last move. Every single time...
-
Norwich middle square incoming...

Sorry Liverpool but you hadn’t clinched it. Montreal Expos looked set to win the baseball one year but season was cancelled due to a strike. No winners that year. Expos fans are still complaining about it.

Quebec government just closed all schools colleges and universities for 2 weeks. I work at a college so have been sent home for 2 weeks. No EPL, no ECL, no NHL, No F1, no MLS. This is going to be tough!

It’s really weird isn’t it? I saw some of the PSG game yesterday. Same thing, hearing the players shout etc.

That's right. UV is usually used when chemical (bleach, alcohol, peroxides etc.) and physical (high temperature and pressure) cannot be used. A good example is a computer keyboard. You'd wreck it with chemicals or high temps so a 20 minute zap with short wavelength UV is the decontamination method of choice.
-
Can you imagine! Liverpool don't win the title but our 4-0 win against the fish fiddlers will stand because that competition reached its conclusion.
-
Poor figure of speech then as there are multiple influenza subtypes that are lethal.
-
UV light is good but it has to be in the correct wavelength range to be effective. I have a background in microbiology so I know quite a bit about this.
