A couple of seasons ago he was useful but now he either miscontrols the ball, flubs an easy chance, or falls in a heap and then stays down while the other 9 outfielders try to defend. Shouldn't be anywhere near the team.

That and his best form came when he had Pelle and Mane looking for his passes/crosses. Must have got disheartening to look up and see Charlie trotting around, and feeding Long and him missing the ball/goal.

I get that. It just seems crazy. I'm sure he'd love to be playing. The salaries at the top end of world football are absolutely ludicrous. For someone to get paid per week what many don't earn in a lifetime is beyond crazy.

It's ludicrous how much money footballers make. Even a guy like Gallagher who has barely played for the first team and doesn't often feature for the U23s gets 40K a week to train and sit on the bench or in the stands.

Boufal's problem too. Maybe a summer of Ralph drilling it into him to release the ball quicker will pay dividends. There must be drills (one two touch) to reinforce this. Mind you, he strikes me as a stubborn player that thinks he knows it all. Same with Boufal, same with Hoedt. These players are virtually untrainable, egos too big, don't want to learn.

Big 3 games coming up for Burnley. (Wolves, Bournemouth and Cardiff). They need to get something from that because afterwards they have (Chelsea, City, Everton and Arsenal). That Burnley vs Cardiff game could go a long way to deciding it. Hopefully Saints will have picked up plenty of points by then.
