  1. ah..wiki the fountain of knowledge
  2. considering they are strict in even letting on the plane if you are drunk..I would say you are wrong
  3. disgraceful slant on maccy d's employee
  4. I have been on a plane (and at times, frequently) around the world..I have also been around the world on a sub...and I can tell you it makes not difference
  5. yes, work in Zulu time..but lets say we pull into goa or singapore for a week...they are not in zulu time..then we have to go again in zulu time as for air travel v sub travel in our world..we cram in 125 blokes with huge amount of explosives (sometimes nuclear weapon depending on class of sub) we live around a web of high pressure air, hydraulic and electrical systems with a nuclear reactor in the middle for good measure we live in a environment when you ALL need to know the ins and out of each electrical, air hydraulic etc etc system on board..as if you dont, people will (and have) die...
  6. doesnt matter how fast does it..working through time zones is the same... cabin crew will have time for kip on a long journey, that is a fact.. still, I am able to work through loads of time zones in a far more demanding and dangerous environment...are you telling me they cant...?
  7. utter bollix..it is easy to cross time zones and be OK to work...I do so in a far FAR more demanding and FAR dangerous environment.. LOL this is hillarious
  8. sorry but complaining that a CSD has to MAYBE serve a meal as well as talking to the passengers etc is tough dear fuking god again, I wonder why the rest of BA are not striking guess what, I am also taxed by UK rates when in a different country..even IF posted to said country poor trolly dollys
  9. oh my christ...and people defend this still poor old things, having to serve someone a meal....how disgraceful of BA to ask them to do this
  10. £56k for being a trolly dolly you have to be sh1tting me
  11. it runs deep of the HEATHROW cabin staff...not the rest oh no... a senior cabin staff having to serve a meal or a drink with the peasents what ever next...
  12. fair points soggy..then you will have to accept that after a bad result people WILL question a sub (like subbing james then subbing him off) and a tactic which DOES NOT mean they want pardew sacked there and then
  13. how do you know that the companpies situation was worse than feared..?
  14. maybe they cant afford to settle..? maybe their company (which lost half a BILLION quid) is on the verge and the trolly dollys either take the offer or join tyhe queue at the job centre.. I will laugh my head off if they bring the company down..who will employ a BA trolly dolly in their industry..? erm NO ONE and they will be at the back of the queue for jobs..not that their skills will be in much demand..
  15. I would rather pull teeth than watch anything with a "WAG" in it.. what an idiotic part of celebrity that is
  16. £42k.......... my word
  17. I know what the tolpuddle martyrs are....however, when you are the highest paid in your industry, even higher than colleagues down the road and you go on strike (when said colleagues dont even agree) for a company that is losing half a billion quid.. you should not expect much sympathy...maybe if they were on a pittance and the lowest paid etc...but they are far far from it
  18. I am free to leave at any time I like..I could even show a displeasure against being Nuclear and I wont go on a sub again... BA staff (only heathrow I will add as the others think they are ******s) have the right to this..part of me hopes they bring the whole company down and I can wave my money at them when I drive past the job centre
  19. they can be nice...but I dont work for BA...? I am in the armed forces that faces a new cut almost daily and ahs done so for the 11 years I have been in..
  20. hotels...? your point..?
  21. NO, basically... you can apply for travel warrants but they have cut these back so much over the years so many perks/pay allowances have been cut back or "renamed" over the years I have lost count..not once to put more (or even the same) money in our pockets..they changed the pension scheme in 2005 too
  22. they could pay to commute..?
  23. ah...no wonder they desperately want to keep these PERKS
  24. i was already gone before you came in..I only remember the twins, pompeylass and DSM
