I was saying earlier here at home that Pearson will be sacked by Xmas. Lost 2 out of opening 3 league games and now being, in all honesty, thrashed tonight by Burton. And as you said, it isnt even really a Leicester 2nd team! City: Schmeichel, De Laet, Konchesky, Whitbread, Danns, St. Ledger, Waghorn, James, Gallagher, Schlupp, Knockaert. Subs: Morgan, King, Logan, Beckford, Moore, Futacs, Nugent.

Yep its just about getting that touch of quality in the key areas to help us out a bit. During 4-3-3, we were comfortable, created chances, very much on par with a top Wigan side in good form. Their 1st goal was our CB's switching off, the 2nd goal was Fonte being slack. Nothing to do with the 4-3-3 being wrong. We were very much 2nd best when we went 4-4-2 however.

This seems to be a quote from the Bologna president today. “If Thursday does not resolve the situation with Southampton, then Gaston stay here #SainstFC Thurs or bust for Ramirez-Bologna chairman”

Playing in Yellow!

Seems the President went and had a personal chat with some of the fans. About 400 supporters gathered at the Technical Center Niccolò Galli to demonstrate their disapproval of the impending sale of Robinho to Southampton. At the start of the stands were sung chorus of mockery against Albano Guaraldi, asked in a loud voice to pull out the money, so a group of ultras demanded a confrontation with the president rossoblù, who approached them escorted from Digos . The situation was now very hot and after a gesture of disapproval by the patron rossoblù they started spitting at his address and some mobs have also tried to climb over the fence. At that point it takes the mediation of the police and five representatives of the red and blue supporters were allowed in the hotel for an interview with Guaraldi and the dg Zanzi. "I do not know what to challenge Ramirez has not yet been sold and the market is not over. If they have come to be Friday at 19 "had previously said the president of Bologna. Then there was the confusion, for Pioli and a team full of doubts and problems is not the best weather to prepare advance of Saturday night at the Dall'Ara with Milan. Best change the thread title to Robinho!!

Just goes to show that it now really is in the best interests of all parties to get this done NOW! It has got out of hand in Italy and both clubs have got other deals to be focusing on. I'm not saying 'we don't only do one deal at a time' but I can imagine alot of our focus and time has gone into this one. Others may have progressed slowly but been pushed to the back of the queue whilst this one was still 'live'

Although I think the 4-2-3-1 (deep) would work well, I would still however love to see the Diamond return with the signing of Ramirez. Could really flourish in it IMO. Davis Clyne Fonte Hooiveld Fox Schneiderlin Davis Lallana Ramirez Lambert Rodriguez

This variation of 3-5-2 looks abit exposed down the flanks to me.

Try telling that to some on here.

DL_corriere: angry fans outside the training centre were 450 people ca. not 150 as i previously told #bolognafc
-
DL_corriere: #southampton fans, when something official will be told i will let you know
-
DL_corriere: breaking news: 150 fans outside the training centre very angry with #bolognafc president guaraldi. police worked over DL_corriere: la cessione di #ramirez ha l'idea di essere la classica goccia che fa traboccare il vaso dei rapporti tra tifosi e proprietà DL_corriere: the transfer of # ramirez has the idea of being the straw that breaks the camel of the relationship between fans and properties
-
DL_corriere: @danbsfc he told 'ramirez has not been sold' .. i must say (yet) ? danbsfc: @DL_corriere still expecting him to be sold soon then? deal still on course? DL_corriere: @danbsfc yes He still sounds confident but I dont know why the president would come out and say this if the deal was imminent?

Nice little statement from him.... "Good morning everyone, I want to personally respond to the incident that happened on Monday 27 August. I can confirm that the police stopped me on the street after leaving a nightclub but I was not drunk, despite what the media have said. I celebrated with my friends and had drank a little more than authorised but I was still in a state that allowed me to drive my car. I have always been a responsible person and I would not have reached this level without this trait. On this occasion I was accused by someone who was in the same nightclub and I did not pay anything to the police. They asked me for my documents and I spent three hours with them at the station. However, I was not handcuffed like the media have reported. I was then summoned to a hearing taking place in September. I want to apologise to Southampton and the supporters of the club about what has happened. I know that the image of the club is at risk in this situation, but it really was an accident, and I repeat, I was not drunk and did not do anything violent. Football players are very exposed and we have to be more careful in this kind of situation, watching our every step because we are in the public eye. I know that this is an important year for Southampton and certainly the most important year of my career so I will completely dedicate myself for the club during training and helping Southampton to achieve our goals this year. Big hug to all, Guly do Prado" http://www.sambafoot.com/en/news/34951_southampton_s_guly_do_prado_issues_statement_regarding_police_incident_.html?

See I'd personally go with a 4-2-3-1 but deeper so rather than 2 CM's. I'd have 2 DM's that can break up the play and just sit infront of the 2 CB's with the 3rd CM that has the license to bomb on during the attacking movement and become a second striker from deep but when defending, put the opposition under pressure and Lallana has a great engine for this. The 2 wingmen can then interchange and drive in towards the main striker and offer a support. Personally, although Lambert has a great goalscoring record, he just doesnt fit a 4-5-1 in my opinion. In this style formation, you need an agile player, with a bit of pace, and stamina to chase the ball for the majority of the game. This is why I feel Jay Rod would be a much better option.
