Genuinely think he is. Can't honestly think of any other journalist who has broken a correct Saints transfer story before it happens apart from Nixon. And yes he has mentioned players we haven't signed (Hooper) so he isn't perfect we know that but still extremely reliable.

How do you get to that? Got the Jay Rod deal, Clyne deal, Sharp deal. Very much ITK with various contacts esp. up north. Other deals, Kightly to Stoke (reported 31 July, moved 8th August) Afobe to Bolton (reported 29th July, moved 3rd August). others - James Collins to West Ham (31st July) Ramis to Wigan (31st July) = just to name a few.

Well he doesn't really say that. The way I see it is that we have many options and that we don't know who to go for and who to pursue further.

Doubt it as Nixon says the signing would be a starter for the team. Cant see an untried and untested 19 year old displacing Fox. This makes Bertrand more likely as he is a similar age but in a different league experience and quality wise.

Exactly my reaction even though I posted it. Who else is there out there that could come in on loan at LB, and replace Fox? He'd have to be pretty decent whoever it is.

We can rule out an Interenational incoming. Nixon says he is Domestic based and is a player who be a Starter.

I can see why people think it is **** but I think this is the way that many websites are going these days, much more visual and less text heavy. Something we'll just have to put up with but TBH, i don't think it is anywhere near as bad as people on here make out.

Exactly, their squads are already top notch and good enough whereas we NEED to sign 2 or 3 new players. We NEED at least a CB, we NEED a left back and we potentially NEED a right winger. Newcastle and Man City would LIKE a couple of new players but its more important for them to keep their squads together and try and add a touch of quality but it isn't as important as our transfer market this summer. As posters have previously said, we got lucky last year. SdR has proved to be pretty poor so far and has therefore barely played, we all knew Cork would cut it, Fox was a solid addition in an area we didn't think needed strengthening, however we were lucky with Jos especially as he was about 5th choice on our CB list! It was a gamble even if he was only on loan as we would've had to get another loanee in if Jos didn't cut it, and finding a decent CB on loan is very difficult. This season we don't get the 'luxury' of a loan window so our deals need to be spot on first time round. We went into the season with Martin and Fonte as CB and only Lambert, Connolly, Guly and Forte as strikers. We can't afford to risk similar again this season.
