  1. Ive said for an awful long time McCarthy’s distribution is absolutely woeful, he’s slso a poor communicator and….. you know what… he’s just absolutely crap… how anybody signed off on him getting a contract extension is beyond me We desperately need a keeper, to replace McCarthy and to bench Baz who’s confidence is absolutely shot
  2. In fairness I think Sulemana would have been a good buy if we hadn’t been relegated
  3. The Tella move depends on the fee for me, anything close to 20m Id be happy to move him on, I don’t think he has the ability to be a stabd out performer in the prem Under it ? Keep him, he could be valuable this year
  4. I think they probably are which is why Ive said don’t read a ton into it really but I doubt, for instance, you’d see Salisu/Perraud on these club propaganda pieces as they are pushing to leave
  5. We don’t, the club is comfortable with the risk and believes we can shift enough to keep us safe financially We have relegation clauses active but again, see above I agree with this, and the clubs working on it.. unfortunately Lyanco/Salisu deaks breaking down isn’t ideal but Diallo is gone and Id expect to see movement on Onuachu, Perraud etc soon We’re trying but on our terms, again just allowing want away players to leave sends the wrong message as it did under Semmens but there is a balance We are having a new start, new philosophies on/off the pitch.. namely possession under Wilcox and no longer push overs in the transfer windows
  6. Not sure if this is a clever PR ploy or what, and I realise that you can’t always read into PR pictures of players for kit releases etc But its always heavily centred around these three, which leads me to believe they probably aren’t kicking up a stink in the background and maybe we are hoping to hang onto them
  7. I believe we have, but on our terms
  8. Yeah I think so, one of those situations where his value to us is higher than his percieved value to WHU Havibg told him he can leave waters down our negotiating position too
  9. Basically from what I hear we are very very excited about the 14/15/16 age groups but the quality wasn’t quite there with the majority of 17/18 yr olds hence why we brought some in
  10. Really liked the look of SAA in the few friendly performances he’s had, he looks a talent I wonder if thats in part why we’re looking to move Sulemana on ? Tella, Edozie, SAA and then Aribo, Arma and possibly Dibling could all play a part there
  11. In fairness we had Smallbone at No.6 for large swathes of that game, and as nice and tidy as he is on the ball he really isn’t suited as a DM That said, if we play a backline THAT high then we’ll need more than just a decent DM there.. it was absolutely suicidal at times
  12. I think he was going anyway, Charles is looking like the replacement for Lavia/JWP But you knew that.. probably
  13. In other news… West Ham want a midfielder
  14. Interestingly MacAnthony was talking about Saints today, and speaking to Rasmus… basically saying that he is a hard negotiator and he doesn’t expect us to lose players unless its on our terms But what I found most interesting is he said he was talking to him recently about players…. I cant think of any we are potentially loaning to Boro… but it git me thinking…. We are linked to Ronnie Edwards ? Might be nothing it in at all of course
  15. Which primary targets so far do you think we’ve missed out on due to our hard and fast stance on our valuations ? We wanted Manning, so far we havn’t shifted a LB.. but we acted and we signed him We wanted Charles, so far we’ve not shifted a CM/DM but we acted and we signed him Other than that I doubt we were in for Coady, Winks, Doyle or Mavididi… atleast there are no obvious links in the press So I would say, so far, standing firm hasn’t caused us any issues
  16. Ive gone through this plenty of times and if you don’t have the mental capacity to understand I simply can’t be arsed explaining it every other week, but one last attempt - Neither of us are guaranteed to go up, infact we could potentially both stay down, much better to get the best possible price to ensure our finances are ready for those eventualities - Those ‘targets’ arent necessarily required if, for instance, Tino, Lavia, JWP, Tella stays for this season… also most value signings happen towards the end of the window.. as they do every year - Skewing Martins words there, who said thry’ve talked to targets and they’re happy to wait - We can’t move players nobody wants… this isn’t FM.. theres no editor that you can just ditch players… Leicester have only moved players that clubs want.. valuable players under market value.. Im happy waiting - Selling under value alerts clubs you are open for business and weakens your hands.. it also shows players you might want to keep that you’re happy to lose players under market value.. and so damage morale Frankly its the last Im going to bother responding to you on this subject, if you don’t agree thats fine. Im not particularly worried, we have 2-3 weeks, im sure we have targets, we have plenty of time
  17. They’re quite a lot different, as I explained tbf And say what you want about SR… but so far LCFC have lost/losing £180m worth of players for about £75m… and we look like we’re making on most of ours
  18. Yeah it looks like we move from a 433 into a 3223 on the transition, with the no.6 dropping into the back ‘3’ both FBs pushing into midfield, the two no.8s pushing up as No.10s and then the standard front 3 It just provides an awful lot of passing options and pressure on the ball when we lose it… I like it, but we need to be very careful of fast breaks in play and counters Pretty telling that he’s brought Manning who played a lot at CM and is looking at KWP and Tino to push inside rather than outside… it unfortunately negates their pace but I guess when you’re up against an opponent that sits deep pace is largely redundant
  19. I mean.. I can’t be arsed to get embroiled in any childish ping pong, especially over 2 threads, but they’ve sold Barnes and brought in a worse player for cheaper, they’ll still need a side come the opening day
  20. You don’t really need to do an awful lot of digging tbh, I think they’ve managed to cover some of their shortfalls but they’re still in for it if they don’t manage the situation carefully. Last years accounts for them, released in March showed they had 92m worth of losses, thats ‘before’ a relegation thats goong to cost them a further 2/3rds of their income… it doesn’t make pretty reading They are also on UEFAs FFP watch list, they have losses of 192m over the last 3 years, and are allowed only 105m, it cost them the permanent signing of Doyle, as seen below, so the rumours are very much real Either way Im not making this stuff up, I really have no need or want to, but the Leicester are skint narrative has been going on for a while, since the start of last season tbh which is why I had them down as relegation favourites They of course have to sign a few players, it’ll be a difficult window to negotiate for them, but Id suggest a lot of their incomings will be dependent on who they can shift Edit - Worth remembering that their owners lost a significant amount during COVID too, as they’re effectively a company tied to the travel industry, hence why they’ve not been able to assist with LCFC’s mounting debts
  21. Leicester, for the 1000th time are skint… they couldn’t even agree a permanent deal for Doyle because of it Leeds or Europe are our biggest rivals in the Piroe race,
  22. Dharmesh works for Sky Sports though…
  23. Yeah its poor defending as much as it was poor goalkeeping tbf
  24. I thought Bednarek looked very composed and good on the ball personally, especially in possession Stephens was a bit meh, giving the ball away a few times DCC’s passing was genuinely terrible
