Watford etc and even us are different because you’re still constrained by FFP, albeit it is a work around.. for instance we ‘could’ get Goztepe to buy Che Adams for 30m but it’ll effect Goztepe’s FFP levels eventually The issue with the Saudi involvement in Newcastle and the SPL is they could effectively allow any or even all of the Saudi clubs to buy Newcastle deadwood at inflated prices which then allows NUFC to increase their FFP thresholds The other crap you’ve waffled on about is just laughable whataboutery you read on the internet so im not even going to bother responding

😂 done 3 of them, its just not cool anymore

Teflon Turkish

I know not really Saints related but this is what is going to destroy FFP governance and it’ll be interesting to see how the PL deal with it Effectively the Saudi’s own both Newcastle and the SPL and Id suggest will enable them to move players between the two that effectively circumvents the issue Its a problem

Have you lived through many transfer windows ?

Thats a great record but its also a HORRIBLE injury to rehab

If these channels were being watched by anybody with the intellectual ability to form any form of opinion for themselves without dribbling then it would be worrying, but Id suggest 90% of the morons that watch it don’t understand a word Mogg says and the other 10% are too busy wanking themselves off to notice the issues anyway

Reading between the lines I think there is an area of truth in that narrative but, in part, the whole situation has been blown up by social media platforms for clout and by the Sun to sell the news His legal innocence hasn’t had anywhere near the level of exposure the ‘scandal’ had to begin with, and the BBC literally had to be seen to do something I think and unfortunately Huws position is probably now untenable whatever the outcome FWIW it’s difficult, you should be able to do as you please in your own time but as a senior employee on a platform as large as the BBC its hard to argue that they would not be best pleased once he’d been found to have had an extra marital affair, with a person of the opposite sex to his partner and mother of his kids, who was considered under the age of adulthood and he had ‘apparently’ been funding his drug habit

I think a lot of the fires of disillusionment these days are stoked by the swathes of social media accounts that portray their lives as being idyllic (which is all part of the algorithm) or even being smashed round the face by get rich schemes etc Times are very different in that case and as a bloke in my mid 30s I sort of feel I have a foot in both camps, one in the older world pre SM overload and one IN this new world of SM overload I started as a youngster with a dream of a job in sport, and through some connections I have managed to get plenty for coaching experience as well as my badges… fortunately in the back ground Id also embarked in a career in engineering and, long and the short I had to weigh up what I wanted and frankly the rewards were better in engineering Its a career that gives me a LOT of autonomy for a very good pay, I just have a significant level of responsibilities and the odd unsociable hours of which I sort of don’t have to do ‘officially’ but also due to my employment I have to to avoid critique FWIW I also, couple of years ago had a semi successful SM career, I earnt about 1k a month out of it but it was SO much work to stay on top of and so I let it slip, so despite the promise of riches it really is a hellish landscape and takes up FAR too much of your time

I think generally pre season friendlies are, for all intents and purposes, finding out which players can carry out your plans, and who cannot… its a chance to improve cohesion and fitness but ultimately the result doesn’t really matter, especially because you’re enforcing so many changes its hard to maintain stability From what I saw the obvious lads are still capable at this level and these tactics, JWP, Lavia, Alcaraz, Tino and even Bednarek all looked a level above Aribo, Meghoma, Amenyaw, Tella all looked good Unfortunately from what Ive seen Lyanco, Stephens, Armstrong aren’t really up to the task… Smallbone is what I thought he’d be, tidy on the ball but just doesn’t offer anything Che dissapointed me yesterday, he’s recovering from injury so Ill give him the benefit of the doubt of course for now Will be interesting to see the progression into the next game, we played some good football and dominated but the conceded goal was dreadful both defensively and goalkeeping wise and we simply need to start creating more chances in the final third From what Ive seen - - - - - - Baz - - - - - - Tino - JB - - New - - Manning - - - - - - -Charles - - - - - - - - -JWP/New/Smallbone- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Alcaraz - - - Tella - - - New - - -Edozie/Sulemana All reinforced by the young lads and potentially new additions

Is it being streamed on the website again ?

Some quite astoundingly serious allegations in here which obviously won’t get the same amount of media amplification as the Huw Edwards story unfortunately
-
This little episode, if it turns out to be nothing more than what you say looks set to be another complete embarrassment for the BBC, especially so close after the Lineker fall out Im not really sure what’s happening with BBC top brass right now but its all a bit of a mess isn’t it
-
100%… if I catch him on a bus I’ll let you know These comments made me laugh, under another of the loons Le Tissier retweeted
-
Well I suppose they probably aren’t desperate in similarity to Leicesters financial doom but I think their intentions are to shift some of their duff players so they can ‘rebuild’ Frankly though… after spending 600 (or 700 depending on when the Nkunku deal is accounted) last year I find it mental that the media is happy to hype up this years ‘chelsea rebuild’
-
Not since City and by the looks of it Everton proved it was nonsense 😂 Laughable really
-
Loaded doesn’t matter, they’re too close to FFP thresholds
-
Pretty much bang on.. when teams started to realise they could play deep and play over our press it was often Stu that had that extra bit of ability to play through them, without him we seemed (and still do) lost He hasn’t been the same for a while and certainly had his poorest season last year, Im assuming we saw Aribo as the player to replace that, he has the ability but absolutely zero application
-
Now that you ask yes, I got up to FA level 2/Uefa C before I realised the pathways into a significant career were infinitely small even though I know a few Ex prem and England coaches that could help me along… it simply wasn’t enough, so I got another job Now I’ll stop being a patronising prick but honestly these terms aren’t anything new really.. when you press you want the furthest forward player towards the ball to ‘trigger’ the rest of the team that should notice this and close down opposition players/passing lanes accordingly A double pivot is basically two DMs (No.6s) which tend to have slightly different roles but effectively are just there to provide defensive cover for attacking FBs and provide passing lanes from deep… we’ve used them pretty much since Ralph arrived
-
Probably because Ive consistently said as poor as Che is at finishing off moves, he was pretty integral to how we played over the last two years, initiating the press, disrupting the back line and being a focal point in attack.. his touch, back to goal play and passing is very good… so were between a rock and a hard place… either we put up with his 50/50 finishing or our build up was non existent…. Im not expecting you to understand that intricacy though Diallo just didn’t do what you suggested anyway, and effectively we employed a double pivot, so neither were expected to play a proper ‘box to box’ role, with the furthest we’d expect either to progress forward would probably be between halfway and the oppo box
-
Apart from the fact he was a woeful passer of the ball and frequently got dispossessed in possession you’re spot on 🙄 As a ball winner he wasn’t completely horrible, the issue was if anyone expected anything progressive from him at all
-
I think ultimately he looks like a wasted talent, I thought he could potentially flourish into a decent PL DM but he never really improved (maybe even regressed since the purchase) Its a shame really but his move to Qatar shows where his motivation lies as a young player Nice to see us starting to move on the deadwood Heard we’d likely lose the ‘french contingent’ from the end of last year, him, Perraud and Mara were all making noises about moving on, I’d imagine Perraud will be next out the door
-
Thing is if its a choice of 40m this summer OR next summer, I.E - We don’t get an improvement on the 40m buy back next year Id hope they’d be happy to go into this season with a vastly superior midfield and tell the likes of the scousers to jog on Ultimately it sounds like Klopp has done the usual tapping up, so Id hold firm
-
Hopefully we’ll tell them to get fucked then Realistically we need someone like Arsenal to come in and help drive the price up
