  1. Thats annoying, they’ll have a pot to piss in now
  2. Whoever wins gets to send him to the other team ?
  3. But you have to understand there was a requirement to do something, and going to a tried and tested science around dealing with pandemics was pretty obvious, its not like it was an isolated case, the whole world took that approach We couldn’t lock down everytime it spiked, we couldn’t allow it to just spread due to health system strains So the obvious move was mass vaccination… not really sure what everyone’s expecting to happen in the next ‘years’ are we all going to become zombies or something?
  4. I mean… the first vaccine was carried out in 1796, virtually eradicating smallpox and vaccines are some of the most widely studied and scrutinised medical practices in the world, with some of the highest safety requirements So I’d say yeah, probably one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs ever, especially in medical science I don’t have full clarity, I don’t have full clarity on a great many subjects and Im far from an expert on vaccines, but Im comfortable with the science… weirdly there are a great many substances that we all chuck in our bodies on a daily basis that has less safeguards around them than vaccines, but it doesn’t get the same internet clicks
  5. The ‘it’ll be boring if we all agree’ mantra is a very tired and lazy statement too, this is a forum and there is a great deal of things that is worthy of discussion but that doesn’t mean absolutely everything is there to be debated, for instance, we could argue the sky is red… but you’d be incorrect Vaccine viability has been shown to have been incredibly effective in extending not only human but also a great many animal lifespans and improved our way of life immeasurably.. its one of the greatest scientific breakthroughs ever Your Dr cousin could of course go against this way of thinking but Id suggest he is in the wrong line of work if he does
  6. Im not convinced believing that the Ukraine war or Vaccine viability is an ‘opinion’ to be honest I’m going to apply Hitchens Razor on this one
  7. The whole, “who is to say my alternative view is wrong” narrative is just so completely boring Anyone who genuinely thinks that world governments have managed to find a level of collusion never before seen, is frankly batshit… these are the guys that literally couldn’t even organise a piss up without dropping everyone in it I’m all for trying to understand narratives and look into things, but this whole ‘gotcha’ movement around vaccines just stinks of people that either cannot accept the banality of their own lives or are genuinely wired incorrectly. It won’t be long before we’re all called sheep for following the status quo.. its a very tired put down.. we’re all sheep, but my personal shepherds are founded in real science and Le Tissiers are fake Dr’s on youtube
  8. He’s an intelligent guy, but he is still down the rabit hole, he’s able to verbalise and explain his thought processes a lot better than a great many of the gullible that have been taken in by the conspirashit theories that sprung up all over the place but his arguments still fall apart when you look further behind the curtain
  9. I suppose it depends what you want sprinkled on your cornflakes in the morning but tbh I prefer my actual news channels to be news channels and not legislate themselves as ‘entertainment programmes’ so they don’t have to fact check the thinly veiled racism they serve
  10. I think we’ll keep 2/3 of them tbh
  11. He’ll play at Chelsea because they don’t have a true No.6 if/when Kante leaves and he’s good enough too The only two teams he doesn’t get into straight away in the prem is probably City (Rodri) or Utd (Casemiro) Im going to assume if they’re going for Lavia then Arsenal must have Rice tied up then and PSG Ugarte
  12. McCarthy is genuinely awful
  13. Agree… there was times I understood the Ely inclusions (understanding and agreement is different) but I never understood why we had that period where Edozie got nowhere near the side, apparently he didn’t work back hard enough but we were screaming out for a bit of ‘pressure release’ at times and his footwork is perfect for it
  14. Im not sure the prem resembles the bottom 2/3 leagues of Sunday league tbh
  15. We just need the Martin smokescreen to lift and reveal Nagglesmen… or Bruce.. Im not picky
  16. He’d be immobile next to Lavia anyway
  17. Which is all tactical….how many of our 11 do you want bombing forward ? McCarthy ? Lyanco ? Andrew Sparkes ? Lavia and JWP are a double pivot, much like Romeu (who you could genuinely say was at times immobile) before him, although JWP has licence to push forward to occupy the space just infront of the 18 yrd box if numbers allow Its the way we’ve played for effectively 3/4 years now, even before that Wanyama sat deep… what exactly do you want or expect ? And is this what you mean by immobile ? Fir reference, we use our fullbacks effectively as overlapping wing backs, allowing our 10s to push inside, we do overly rely on our FBs for natural width as they don’t tend to add much… this changes slightly if we utilise KWP on te left as he tends to play as an inverted Wingback, so at times this season its allowed Sulemana to play wide with KWP moving with the ball more centrally I do agree we’ve been overly reliant, we have no real pace outside of KWP or Tino… KWP has still been progressive, but we just havn’t had any effective movement in attacking areas so he has nowhere to go when he beats a man
  18. We tried to bag Potter… I would imagine the answer will be the same
  19. Tbf it could be one of those Sports Direct mugs
  20. Im struggling to understand how a player with some of the best running metrics in the prem (JWP) is considered immobile either tbh
  21. Funnily enough he has still managed to be one of the best FBs as far as carries is concerned in all the T5 leagues, it is actually a stat that surprised me a little when I read it.. because like many have said its felt like he’s had a poor year overall Ive never thought he was a brilliant defensive FB but then the game these days is effectively full of these types, adding attacking intent from FB and lacking strength defensively I just think teams found us out, forcing us inside when we attack and exploiting our weaker flanks when we defend, his constant stop start through injuries and flipping from RB to LB probably hasn’t helped either Either way he is still one of our best players, likely in the top 3 and will probably be well sought after for anyone around mid table in the prem
  22. Calling JWP and Lavia immobile is quite the take tbh but here we are
  23. For about the 9 millionth time, its all agreed If he decides to tear up his contract now then I wouldn’t want him here anyway
  24. All of this and a very bad ankle injury that was probably caused, in part, due to his lifestyle and he just had no real motivation to overcome it He’ll probably end up in Saudi where he can sack it off and still earn a fortune
  25. It would of been a fantastic plan if we hadn’t of spent 200m to try to stave off relegation and, in the case of relegation stand to lose a minimum of about £130m a year in revenue I think, despite the fact they accelerated the decent due to ineffective leadership and decisions, they knew we were in for a bottom half scrap this season, hence the rhetoric around similarities between Prem snd Champ
