Both GKs are shite, I was wrong that we can carry them into next season, but a lot of that is because of how frail defensively we are which means both of our naff GKs have to face too many shots Baz is getting hammered for last night, and he did flap at it, but lets not let Stephens and THb off the hook, that run should be tracked, we shouldn’t be asking a keeper to come out for that really Its just indicative of how bad we are this year, nobody takes responsibility anywhere

The fact that Stephens, despite saying there was no issues, was dropped/injured shortly after this tells me this was us

On this Season, I think most managers would be happy with our squad going into this year, comparatively to the other teams So in summary Still has absolutely failed

Downes, Jander, Charles are all top level CMs at this level GK I agree with, although I think if we are functioning at all defensively we get away with it No.9 is a problem, absolutely, we wasted so much money there instead of signing anyone with any pedigree and with all of them the best is probably Archer and we seem to utilise him atrociously

Im not really sure what Blackmore is on about if Im completely honest, and unfortunately Ive lost any access I used to at the club but Rasmus was previously quite involved, and was then sidelined at the same time Kraft was ditched Kraft, I believe, was heavily in favour of not replacing Wilcox, and was a decision backed by Parsons Rasmus’ current role is player exits and the overall multi club strategy… and Id say he is actually doing ok on that front, but he does fit as the arrogant ‘thinks he knows more than he does’ statement Overall I think SR and Spoors has actually done ‘ok’ enough this year, they made good signings, unfortunately signing Downs and Stephens contract are a huge detractor of their summer but not sure hiw much involvement Spoors had, if he was involved its fucking awful The signing of Still, as crap as he is, Id still say in the interest of balance looked a good appointment at the time, he was a well respected coach and was courted by some decent clubs… unfortunately hindsight tells us, for whatever reasons that he is just not up to it

Can this narrative just die… Will Still isn’t being told to play a 5 atb, thats just complete shite In fact… if he’s being instructed to play a certain way, it still points to him being a terrible manager as he hasn’t installed any vision into us whatsoever And the last point.. why would Spoors sign players to suit a 4231 and then push Still into playing 5 atb ? It makes no sense SR are shit enough on their own to not need made up nonsense about tactical interference

You’ve misinterpreted me, he is clearly a very good ‘coach’ as he managed to get the players playing a very specific way almost completely on instinct Thats in the same way as Pochettino came in and managee to coach very advanced pressing triggers quickly That is the sign of good ‘coaching’, what you’re alluding to, i think, is the difference between a good coach and a good manager… Poch was both, Martin was an awful manager

Exactly this, I keep reading on here and listening to podcasters and YouTubers saying that the issue is 100% the players and the club, and Still needs more time I just don’t see it.. SR do a lot wrong, they are culpable for the majority of whats wrong with this club, but they bought well imo (outside of a striker, thats 100% criminal), we have a first 11 that rightly, on paper, should be challenging comfortably We keep hearing the players have relegation hangover.. well it was only really Manning and Armstrong from Blackburn that played significantly last year, we’ve seen a large rotation of players and why has Still not had a positive impact ? For me the issue is Still… we’re 12 games in and he still clearly doesn’t know his best 11, still finding his best formation and quite bizarrely still dropping the marquee signings he made in the summer Im not blaming SR in this instance for hiring Still.. I do think he was a good appointment, on paper, at the time… but clearly it’s not worked and for me doesn’t look like it will

I don’t hate him at all, he’s clearly a talented manager due to his praise in the game and his credentials But it just hasn’t worked; I think the rumours of a dressing room falling out are clearly true and my main issue is the money he spent assembling a team to play 4231 that he then ditched within about 140 minutes
