  1. A significant chunk went to SSEN in order to underground the overhead infrastructure that was originally in place
  2. I dunno I think he’s a good coach, with a worthy philosophy, someone will take him on I don’t think we’d of stayed up but think if we had a good footballing DoF putting in the correct checks and balances we’d of made better transfer decisions as well as maybe stopping a lot of Martins stubbornness around his way of play He’ll certainly have admirers but Id suggests he’s the sort of manager you ultimately need a strong squad, relative to the competition, for him to thrive
  3. For some reason my reply didn’t send yesterday… Basically Bitcon is now the sort of, performance side director, so sports sciences, medicine side, analytics overview etc, allowing Spoors to develop the side you’d expect from a DoF He DID step closer into a DoF role, alongside Parsons when Wilcox left, with Rasmus acting as a sort of strategic overview… Rasmus’ role was already watered down once Wilcox joined, and he now spearheads overall multiclub strategy (alongside bitcon) and also is president of Goztepe… I believe he also stepped into the void left when Wilcox went, and has again stepped out of it No idea who made the overall decision to not replace Wilcox, but it was a poor one
  4. Well.. for one its been stated he was the point of contact for transfer negotiations and its been heavily hinted that his obstructive nature was a big reason why we missed out on some of our bigger targets, for instance, Liam Delap Now.. he’s done ok commercially so I wouldn’t necessarily want to see him gone, but I would have no issues seeing Bitcon (director if football operations) depart
  5. Pretty much still applies Bloke cannot mark to save his life
  6. There are always outliers mate
  7. FWIW… I think Ive of sacked Lucy Powell Labour just keep giving Reform/Tories too much ammo
  8. We also decided it was time we adopted a tactical style that was going out of ‘fashion’ Teams understand how to play against it now unfortunately
  9. There is.. to an extent… although I agree we’d never been competitive enough to survive, thats evidenced from the fact all three promoted sides were so bad But we just needed more pragmatism really, from day one. If we had pragmatism and a decent striker we’d of atleast not embarrassed ourselves imo I still maintain if we had a decent DoF with the backbone to tell Russell he can play his system but he has to be stronger defensively first, we might even have been ok… although transfer strategy was also horrendous
  10. My Toyota now has a driver attention alarm you can’t turn off… if you’re not looking forward it alarms after 2 seconds Utter woke nonsense
  11. When you order tapas, and the dishes come out with odd numbers of food Just give us two or four bits you twats, why three ?
  12. Not really read through the thread at any real purpose, but I do know ASD is pretty much something you are genetically born with, or at most develops within the first year, its more prevalent these days as diagnosis of all spectrum disorders was started at higher degrees in the late 90s So conflating ASD and ADHD is a tad unfair As for ADHD, I do think it must be diet related, probably a long with a ton of stomach related issues that seem to be more prevalent these days Edit - My missus is a Speech Therapist and trained in ASD, including diagnosis.. apparently the delay in diagnosis is because you need two seperate practices, like Psychology and Speech Therapy to do a joint diagnosis which is why it taies so long… and Women are able to live with it/hide it better which means it becomes apparent later childhood, young adulthood
  13. I guess they can’t really tackle the brexit issue, because they aren’t tackling any of the concerns from centrists, right floating voters at all I agree it has to be addressed, it was and continues to be economic suicide, made worse by impending US isolationism, but it’ll just be another easy narrative for the right to use Labour were correct to tackle the big issues early… but my god, winter fuel, farmers taxes, failing to address Southport effectively and now disability allowances, as well as just letting the immigration conversation fester…. Farage has never had it so easy to push his interests
  14. The left do what they always do unfortunately (and I say this as a guy thats proudly left leaning) and assume that good morals will win the day… well.. since the rise in social media and the burgeoning partisan trends within it, good morals simply don’t win.. its whoever shouts loudest, and unfortunately Musk is amplifying right wing propagandists i saw someone say before, in reference to social media politics and the rise in misinformation… its easier to throw a hand grenade than put out a fire, and the right are throwing a ton of hand grenades
  15. He won’t be playing in Europe any time soon
  16. The main problem is that for many in the country, they are on the breadline or worse, caused by austerity, horrific Tory policy and global downturns Labour always was the party of the working class, but not now, they’ve tried to push further into identity politics and the like, or atleast thats how its seen. The right have been able to weaponise these narratives and convinced people that the reason they’re struggling is those brown people on boats, and its a convincing narrative If the left want an opportunity to drag voters back they have to listen to the majority, they have to engage in the basement politics that reform are happy to operate in… otherwise we’re headed for a reform majority in 3 years TBH Labour has utterly failed, I don’t really know what they represent. I was hoping they would be more centrist, but they’re basically just Tories with pillows on their hands, Im at a loss to understand their messaging… attacking farmers, disabilities and yet leaving issues like the super rich and immigration Social media has changed politics forever unfortunately. There’s no way we need Trump or Darren fucking Grimes anywhere near elected positions, abd Id say the same for aby left leaning counterparts Honestly at this point just try your best to get your ducks in a row as the worlds just going to get worse
  17. Last thing I want to do is gamble on a guy that had his last best season, with us, 4 years ago or whenever it was The same people asking for him will be the same moaning on gambling on an injury prone has been
  18. Ings is finished
  19. There’s nothing wrong with the multiclub model, its sensible, should long term improve talent acquisition and the ability to send players out for experience We’ve been relegated for a lot of reasons, but chief to them all is that SR’s scouting has been woeful, especially the ‘established’ player signings and managers
  20. No idea around pricing honestly He bought at 100m or so right ? Not sure how the loan works either, or how devalued we are now we’re effectively a championship club My honest thoughts are, if the same price is being bandied around its, in my eyes, more likely to be a regurgitation of the same rumour, so potentially bullshit
  21. No idea mate I know a few people from some of the biv investment banks, a mate knows In a Saints fan, probably due to walking around in a state of broken misery He just said there was a rumour we were up for sale and weirdly the price was 125m I asked those I know close to the club, and was told it was just noise… then it broke yesterday at the same figure… it could obviously be a rumour thats taken legs, or even bullshit thats taken legs but thats honestly all i know Guy at the club I know, who would know, says its unlikely
  22. Perhaps yeah But thats the thing with what ifs… We could of also been sold to someone desperate to asset strip
  23. Because if we were relegated under Gao or someone equally unable to fund a return we’d be fucked Too many fail to understand that As shit as SR have been they’ve been happy throwing money at the club and keeping us afloat
  24. FWIW I don’t actually think the clubs up for sale but thats just me putting together the snippets I know and instinct around where the club is right now I do think cracks are starting to appear though, Rasmus’ influence is being watered down I think (not sure he is as bad as is made out but he is hugely arrogant) We’ll see I guess.. lets hope Spors gets a reasonable amount of autonomy on the sporting side, because SR need technical advice desperately. I do wonder of Martin would have done better if he had a sporting guy above him helping to direct some of his transfer targets and check some of his stubbornness towards his possession based optimism
