  1. He’s had nothing to do with it though
  2. Genuinely no idea.. but I got sucked in by it
  3. He has to go… I don’t know what his gameplan is ? What his identity is ? Its just 11 men on the pitch for me, nothing else, I can’t see any evidence of any actual coaching, any motivation, any tactical plan Say what you want about Martin, he was stubborn but he was a very good coach (ok it didn’t work) and his players knew what he wanted. Even Juric you could see what he wanted I genuinely couldn’t tell you what our gameplan is Its awful (copy of my post from the match thread as its relevant here)

  5. In fairness thats the one position he can moan about today Its him or Downs
  6. No you whopper
  7. Exactly this, I keep reading on here and listening to podcasters and YouTubers saying that the issue is 100% the players and the club, and Still needs more time I just don’t see it.. SR do a lot wrong, they are culpable for the majority of whats wrong with this club, but they bought well imo (outside of a striker, thats 100% criminal), we have a first 11 that rightly, on paper, should be challenging comfortably We keep hearing the players have relegation hangover.. well it was only really Manning and Armstrong from Blackburn that played significantly last year, we’ve seen a large rotation of players and why has Still not had a positive impact ? For me the issue is Still… we’re 12 games in and he still clearly doesn’t know his best 11, still finding his best formation and quite bizarrely still dropping the marquee signings he made in the summer Im not blaming SR in this instance for hiring Still.. I do think he was a good appointment, on paper, at the time… but clearly it’s not worked and for me doesn’t look like it will
  8. Sack him before the 90
  9. I don’t hate him at all, he’s clearly a talented manager due to his praise in the game and his credentials But it just hasn’t worked; I think the rumours of a dressing room falling out are clearly true and my main issue is the money he spent assembling a team to play 4231 that he then ditched within about 140 minutes
  10. Im generally a pretty optimistic and patient fan But this has gone too far surely Its time to go
  11. No.. Martin was appointed because his philosophy matched Wilcox’
  12. I see this sort of crap bandied about too much and its complete shite Still isn’t malleable as far as tactics go, Martin certainly wasn’t Its just bollocks Still’s failings are Still’s failings, nothing more
  13. Not really sure how that changes what MLG said tbh Their heart is clearly in the right place, their spending is there The execution is just woeful
  14. What exactly do you want them to do with Aribo and Edozie ? Cancel their contracts ? Looks like Aribo rejected an offer from Turkey and Edozies transfer offers were too low Not sure thats SRs fault I have a lot of criticism of them over, certainly the last 18 months, but outside of not buying a starting No.9 (genuinely criminal btw) they pretty much did everything right for me this window
  15. I think this is the point I made, he’s built an expensive team to fit his primary formation and has still struggled to find a regular formation/line up And Im not anti Still, I still believe at the time it was the right/good appointment from the club considering his standing in the game and available options at this level He’s just turned out to be bland and unimpressive and (forgive me Ive been away in the states for 3 weeks) was it him that fell out with the dressing room ?
  16. Because I think the longer this period of mediocrity continues will further push a weight of expectation on the club Swansea at home for a team that is rightly regarded as automatic contenders should be a win, and all things considered I felt like it was a must win for the reason above
  17. I think he is being rightly criticised, this is a team he has expensively assembled and yet is now forced to play a formation that doesn’t suit his buys We can point heavy fingers at SR of course for a striker purchase we have desperately needed for years but have paid a huge sum on what was potential, theres an element to me that says thats not Will’s fault, but Id assume he was happy with the strength of the squad following his comments Today.. I had down as a must win, im not as annoyed as I think we did enough, but I do think he deserves to be firmly on watch and Im hugely dissapointed with his start considering his fanfare
  18. Cheers chaps
  19. Is there an alternative to Fawanews ? Its awful this week
  20. We looked good when we got the ball down and played football but it was fleeting Manning and Downes looked like they were playing hot potato, didn’t want the ball and wanted rid of it as soon as possible I thought Fellows and Azaz looked dangerous but we never gave them the ball Hoof ball to Archer ? Just why Felt like we completely wasted the first half tbh
  21. Positives We didn’t lose Jander looks good Thats it really
  22. Its lazy though, players ‘go missing’ because they don’t get the ball He’s had no service at all so far
  23. Agree I like archer, he’s probably my starting No.9 but he’s not going to hold the ball up Every long ball we lose comes straight back… I ‘think’ he’s trying to play how Ralph used to play, where you try to catch their back four in possession but they’ve dealt with it well.. and our press is lethargic
