I heard that Sheikh Abdul Mohammed will buy us for a cool 3 billion..
-
Just seems to me like a desperate last attempt to get someone to finally buy this club.

With hindsight the people who stayed away and stopped going because of Lowe, if the club ceases to exist they're ONE of the reasons we're in administration there's no way we would be in this mess if we had a loyal fanbase. Amazing how I see more Chelsea/Liverpool and Man Utd shirts in Southampton these days and I could have sworn i saw those same faces at SMS 5 years ago. BUT, if the club gets sold and to the right owners then maybe this is a new beginning. But we're going through hell and back to even know if we'll have a club anymore to support, it doesn't bear thinking not having a Southampton FC, despite all us moaning about the club, it's a club we all love we've been bought up on. I could say some more sentimental stuff. What people need to understand is Jackson is a middle man who knows people, he's not got the money and he's not gonna be our new owner, he just wants a cut. But if he's got a consortuim of wealthy enough people to buy us why are we slating him? because of how he sounds in a TV interview?. Frankly he's trying to save our club and get people to buy it, yet all people do is slate him. We don't have a choice who our new owners is, all I care about is the club getting an owner, and there being a Southampton FC next season, it's like an Ethopian whose starving saying he doesn't like the taste of this food. Now why can't we all just keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best rather than fight amongst each other.

I don't think we're in a position to be picky over who our new owners are.

I'm sorry but the stick he got is very undeserved. It was his first season playing regularly in a POOR side and he still managed to score goals. And yes he was played in the wrong system, despite him looking like a big strong player he isn't, he's been used as an attacking midfeilder in the academy system and played in a 4-4-2 not as a lone striker. In your first season scoring 15 odd goals is a good achievement. How do you know how much money he gets paid? frankly I wouldn't call him lazy when he played less isolated he was winning tackles and constantly running, just some people were too proud to change their opinion of him. He's also very good creativily and yes he had chances but he obviously had talent to get into the positions to have the chances, what about the great goals he scored this season? Lets face it I'd rate him at 700k and he is too good for league one, not by much but if he's in our team next season he'll get 20+ goals. We should do our best to hold onto him if we get the takeover.

Why won't people see sense. Personally MJ lot and the Pinnacle lot weren't gonna have the finances, Fry waited till he could say NO because the other lot said they would make a bid if the other two bids don't have the funds or less funds than what Fry would need. So now with Pinnacle/MJ lot out of the way that means the overseas lot are the front runners, just stump up the cash, new owners. It will be a matter of a few days ironing out details from now on.
-
Well this lot have the funds and want to take FULL control of the club. Rather than combine funds causing more boardroom drama's. Just the news we've been waiting for I don't even think Pinnacle failed. They came in with an offer which wasn't as good as what the overseas lot WILL offer. Watch this space.
-
Good news. Mystery bid on the Echo now. Stop being so doom and gloom. Fry is holding out for the overseas lot with more money.

I don't agree at all. So what he missed a penalty he's one of our best creative players, he's improving too, and gets into good positions and scores goals. He's our top scorer this season, no need for all the hate. At the end of the day it's a team effort not one player.

Get ready for some blame games. Like always on here with Alpine being one of the main culprits in saying how useless Lowe is which we all know, but the fact still stands if we had the fans getting 28,000 a week at SMS we wouldn't be in Administration.

Why didint the fans save us from administration?

They didn't really turn out in droves when Crouch was here either or Wilde.. -

Couldn't agree more with you. The truth is we were never a good side even in the premiership we'd lose alot of games and the product was that usually we'd battle hard against relegation. The fans knew that they should support the team actually helps the club rather than stopping to go. Do you think if we got 25,000+ fans every week for the last 3 seasons we'd be anywhere near administration. Probably not those fans who stopped going to the games, and yet babble on about how much they care about the club annoy me no end. They're not true fans at the end of the day just because you don't agree with Lowe doesn't mean you should want the club to die a death and still not turn up when the club needs you most. -
Ah such positive fans like you really help the club out in it's our of need. You don't even go to the games, you just sit on the internet moaning non-stop about your apparent beloved Southampton FC. But lets face it you're not a fan you just **** everyone else off with your non-stop whinging.
-
Do you really think playing a long lasting game of blame at Rupert Lowe (which most of it he rightfully deserves) will actually change anything? How about instead of looking back at the past, look ahead into ways of saving this club instead of blame and more blame. Rupert is not involved in the club anymore, and he shouldn't be involved in debate about the club.

We could ask for some of the installments on the Bale and Walcott transfers upfront if they haven't been paid already if the club might cease to not exist there's no point in those clubs paying them later. And it doesn't surprise me at all half of our fans don't know HOW bad the state of our finances actually are, and the loophole we've used to get ourselves out of a points deduction. Personally they'll wait until a buyer comes in even if we stay up I think we'll get a points deduction that will affect us next season.

Will you ever post something vaguely positive? They have to make the right choice of whats best for the club we could get in a shoddy consortuim which invest peanuts into the club and mis-manage the club again. Don't you think making the right choice is more important than just getting in the first people to declare some interest. The process will take some time and 15 or so offers means they do have to filter out which ones have the potential funds used to take this club out of debt and the ones that are just supporter groups or whatever.
