Anyone know when the ticket office opens today to collect tickets?
-
Forster/McCarthy
Bednarek Vestergard Salisu
Redmond JWP Rom Bertrand
Armstrong
Adams Ings
-
Maddison and McGuire, who were the other two?
it perhaps says something when you're constantly missing out on players to the same club,
Praet, Iheanacho and/or Demari Gray?
-
It IMO looks increasingly likely that rehabilitating Hoedt into something approaching a good player might be our plan B to buying a new centre-back probably with us going into the season using the back 3 again.
We then have Cedric here as extra cover for Valery in the wingback role.
Yep. Seems likely.
Gunn
Yoshi Vestergard Bednarek
Valery Lemina (unlikely) Hoibjerg Bertrand
Redmond
Adams Ings
Leaves a lot of good attacking players out of the team though. Boufal, JWP, Djenepo, Long etc.
-
And that's rubbish too. But it was half a season. You can't just a player's output with the mark hughes effect.
Redmond and JWP clearly have a few goals in them. Redmond should be aiming for double figures and I think he'd have got it under Ralph over a full season, if not more.
Boufal has more talent than most. Accepting 4 goals and assists from one of your main attackers means you'll likely to struggling. There is no way someone of that talent should be scoring 1 in 10 or worse. Whether it's poor management, poor attitude or just lost confidence, something is wrong with that.
Double figures, if not more? Triple figures? I'd like to see that.
Why is it that you're happy to attribute Redmond's goal output to half a season due to poor management, but Boufal should be doing better regardless of management?
-
Of course it's true. Les Reed is coming back for revenge.
-
GK - Forster out, no replacement.
Def - Hoedt, Cedric and Stephens out. 1 CB in. Maybe a season long loan on a RB back up for Valery.
Mid - Maybe I'm alone in this, but I'd like Ralf to have a look at Boufal. Happy to trust his judgement if he doesn't rate him. Clasie out too. Attacking mid/winger needed.
Striker - Austin, Gabbi, Gallagher and Long out. Carillo possibly back up. Don't sign Ings, get 2 new strikers.
So... CB, RB (loan while we see if Ramsay makes it), attacking mid and 2 strikers. That's what I'd like anyway.
-
How long before someone starts a thread suggesting we sign a load of Fulham and Huddersfield players?
-
As a matter of interest how many days is it since they beat a top 6 side? You normally have this information at your fingertips.
2 months since they beat Chelsea away, and City at home in consecutive games.
-
If anyone on here is a member with the appropriate code or whatever it is, I'd happily take 4 tickets at £20 each. Can meet with cash any time between now and the game.
-
Haven't seen anything about this deal. My friend is a member and is also unaware. Any links to it?

Quality "bants" about our awful players lads.
-
It is concerning that, if Austin departs, we are one bad tackle away from having to rely on Shane Long or an unproven youngster for goals until the end of the season.
A bad tackle, a poorly fitting pair of shoes or a stiff breeze.

One article I read about him, apparently between jobs he was in the alps with his binoculars spying on other top club's training camps like Dortmund etc, so he could learn new training methods etc., also went to World Cup training camps to watch like the German national tram train etc. seems a bit of a football nut.
Very interesting that he watched Cardiff, the team we are due to play and his first game, shows he was probably close to being in place before the weekend I reckon.
I think Hughes was basically sacked from the Fulham game and they have been lining this guy up over the last few weeks.
Sounds like he should get us back on track.
-
I'll get behind him, Maggie. He's been a great servant of the club and deserves our full support. Although I also have Harry Kane as my FPL captain so I won't be wanting a clean sheet.
-
The winner of this game will be obviously be very pleased in the short term. But the loser will surely sack their manager, and head straight for big Sam. Who will undoubtedly save them from the drop. I cant really see him at our club, so it'll be Fulham that get him. So we'll have to win to make that possible. Logic.
-
You can't deny that MLG noticeably improved following Oakley's debut though.
Really? Dread to think how pedantic he was before.
-
IMO he had bags of potential and just what he needs at this stage in his career - a loan playing a decent standard of football. Good luck Alfie.
I thought St. Mirren played in Scotland?
-
Twitter/UI rumour is that he could be joining on a free transfer. Anyone else heard anything ?

Burnley will struggle. But probably after they play us. We'll hear for the next 3 months how Burnley haven't won since the opening day of the season.

Let’s hope he ****s off pronto. Spends most of his time crossing to nowhere, meaning he’s always chasing back. Has anyone ever scored from one of his crosses?
Redmond at Everton last season. Maybe someone at Villa the season before. That's all I can think of.

Welbeck/Perez/Slimani/Origi on loan would be acceptable at this late stage.

Have you picked Adam Armstrong 3 times?
