A realistic post. I expect us to punch above our natural financial weight because of our owners, but to expect or hope for us to do a Chelsea or a Man City is IMO delusional. I just find people with lisps very annoying. You can't concentrate on what they are saying because of the lisp. Are you really saying you'd want Balls and Millibean representing the UK given how embarrassing that would be? You might not like this, but it'd make us a laughing stock and in this globalised world in which we live we need political leaders that can influence and be taken seriously. Can you really see a top CEO with a lisp representing a multinational?

They have really turned the shop around. I don't know how that other great institution BHS survives tbh because they are stuck in a time warp and have some horrible stuff.

I can't say i've ever had a problem with sweaty feet or sweating in general. I'm British after all and am thus impervious to the heat of the midday sun.

I think they can ask for more money or refund the sale. There was a case a while back where a large retailer advertised a tv for sale but got the price wrong making it a bargain. They initially withdrew the sale (it was online) and were going to recredit everyone but in the end honoured the discount price as a goodwill gesture.

Decided to do a bit of shopping for a few polo shirts, short sleeved shirts, jeans etc for my hols and looked in several shops only to find awful faded looking studenty stuff and jeans with turn ups in the usual high street "fashionable shops". In then end got some great jeans from tk maxx and was shocked to find that M&S now have some really nice stuff in. Understated and a bit Conservative just how I like it. Am I getting old or does anyone else now rate them?

I've long maintained that our ticket office now isn't a patch on the finely tuned operation under Lowe. For all his faults he always got it right when it came to selling tickets. Todays operation is quite frankly a shambles and you have to pay to use it!

After a lot of searches got a good deal including breakfast with WeHoliday (never heard of them before, but they're in abta so should be fine) for same price as room only with all the other agents I found.
