One can only assume you're a denier of the theory "survival of the fittest" and you deny that "only the fittest organisms will prevail". With a depletion of resources to the extent that there isn't enough to go around of course there would be conflict. This may not sit well with your "we're all in this together" ideology, but it's a fact. Can I suggest you do a bit of historical research of wars and why they often happened (from competing city states to larger conflicts) because your knowledge appears rather lacking.
