    Euro Banks

As for Spanish banks they are now in the same vicious spiral as Greece with people withdrawing their cash. It's the same as happened with Northern Rock. http://www.economist.com/node/21555567

i'm off to Spain at the end of August, I hope they are still in the Euro then.
  3. 850 for a mangey moggy, you need your head testing Jill.
  4. Have you got any kittens going, i'm a bit short but can pay you next month?
  5. They have better players than we do.
  6. It seems an age since we went up. Yet this hasn't been decided yet. We always do it the easy way FFS.

Nah, i'm not touching equities for the time being. It's like catching a falling knife atm. Things are moving along nicely to make some good money in the future. The FTSE is already down about 12% since the new year, and that's nowhere near enough for my liking giving the situation.

I see facebook shares are out today. I really can't see the attraction of what looks to me like a flash in the pan business.
  9. Like any current employee is gonna want to sign a witness statement against their employer.
  10. WHU are EVS for match, 8/13 for promotion with Hills. Cracking prices IMO.
  11. No smoke without fire and all that. A 10 page thread on the SWF doesn't just happen without there being something in it...
  12. I hope you're right, but my nephew works at the airport and Adkins was seen there yesterday (maybe flying oop north?).
  13. I've got a Santander current account (not through choice, I was with Alliance and Leicester who they took over)however I'm currently overdrawn so if they go bust it's their problem. I actually rang them up yesterday because i noticed that the charges to be applied were 20 quid (which is double the 10 quid going o/d used to be) so they've put that up pretty quickly obviously trying to call in their debts. After i'd explained that i'd not been informed of the rise she reduced it back to 10 for this month. I don't mind paying a tenner but 20 quid - fook that!

It looks to me like there could be some mileage in gold again. http://www.kitco.com/charts/livegold.html Corporate bonds also looking good, with rises in the recent days despite people saying they were overvalued a few weeks back. I've been about 40:60 between bonds and cash since November and won't be changing that much any time soon. I did set a target of ftse 4500 but now I can really see ftse 3000 being possible by the autumn.
  15. Anfield capacity: 45,522 Therefore we will be spending 72 mil in the same period, correct?
  16. Proving it is another matter.
  17. Whatever you do don't let them see that they've got to you. If they want you out they'll do their upmost to make your life a misery, so deflect it back in their faces by showing no sign that you've noticed.
  18. This is not only good advice, but it's imperative that you take a witness in with you. Even if you're not in a trades union, you might have a union rep who would be willing to accompany you.
  19. Why is it a wind-up just because I won't reveal my source?
  20. Can people please stop filling my inbox with requests for more information.
  21. But it's Yorkshire. Maybe it's just me, but even the nice towns have a unmistakable layer of grime on their buildings, and then there's the people (similar to scousers) with their insular dispositions. They really do think that coming from Yorkshire means they are a special race and that others are envious of this.
  22. Have you ever said anything remotely interesting?
  23. So many good points!
  24. Typical clueless socialists.
  25. Everything. If and when Greece leave the EURO, and reduce their debts by adding a few noughts to the Drachma, then Spain, Italy, Portugal etc will follow suit. The bureucrats talk about contagion, but their real fear is Greece's exit being a success. And therefore the beating of the Nationalist drum in Spain is a clear sign that Rajoy could well continue wit this tactic with much flag waving as they default and leave the EURO without warning.
