"The balance [£200,000] has been retained to cover our fees, lawyers and counsel fees," Andronikou said, adding he would have been prepared to defer those fees had he been appointed administrator until the club was sold." ....... But I didn't think AA was working as an administrator at any time for PFC. He was working for CSI. Mr Birch should call in the Plod.

Chance cards.... You applied for an early parachute payment... collect £1.8m

No If you go bankrupt your debts part paid and the rest get written off. and you are banned from credit for 7 years. You are discribing the situation when you post the keys back through the letterbox. If Pompey had a Winding up order the same would happen as a person going bankrupt. The debentures would become only worth the curent market value of the assets.

I doubt the wisdom of celebrating four ones.

So Mr Birch is deferring January's pay and probably pay up to Feb 20th. Will he pay them in full for 10 days in Feb and pay tax and NI? If he defers pay to the staff & players in excess of 4k per month till the parachute payment is due he could eek out the cash a long way as the tax would not be due until the wages were paid. If he makes people redundant that is quite a lot of redundancy pay to come out of his £2m. Is it 3 months notice? + generally 1 weeks pay per year employed (different ages get different deals)

They might have had the cash gate money from that canceled match.
-
Reading the statements by Mr Birch, they are very carefully. He is pleading Pompey fans to "keep the faith" but he is not promising to save Pompey, or find a buyer. He is not promising to pay wages. I think we need to deduce what he is not saying rather than what he says.

The silence might be a lack of action, or it could be because a criminal case is likely ;-)

I can't help thinking this thread has been HMRC's 12th man I need them to die! But I fear the loss of this thread and what I will do to fill the gap. We should of course remember the ordinary employees. I wish them well and if any of you recruit staff you should give them fair consideration. No firm should be allowed to trade the way they have.

When someone buys an antique book from Arlesford (tcwtb's shop) do they realise that book has traveled in that van which his motley crew use for away matches, boozed up & peeing in a bucket!

I wonder wether they have heard this news. Wouldn't it be a shame if they turned up too late...
