It was, Adkins mentions it in his post-match interview, about how he changed it but that actually we conceded more possession after this.

I seem to recall we were going to sign Tore Andre Flo at the same time as Egil Ostenstad but something happened then... struggling to remember it now though.

Walking from SMS to Portswood area- best itinerary
Minty replied to melmacian_saint's topic in The Lounge
Depending on pub requirements en route, I think most people go either down Bevois Valley or Westridge Road and Empress Road Industrial Estate, over Mount Pleasant crossing, past the train depot and straight down to SMS. -
Alps, this sums you up for me. The assumption that there has been a lack of attention. None of us know what has been happening behind the scenes, we only have Nigel's quotes that he wants to bring in '1 or 2 centre backs' to go on, so no one can state anything with any guarantee, but equally, neither can you, and it is the way in which you put this that winds so many people up. Your assertion that we have f*cked up, that Saints are always at fault for not meeting your expectations... Yes, people should moderate their replies and not resort to name calling etc, but once again, you have to step back and see why some people are inclined to react like that, because of your aggressive assertions which are based on nothing but your own negative opinion.

That's when you'd be banned from, if we implemented DPS' idea above.

There would be no members left after barely a few weeks. We've all spouted ******** and got stuff wrong, some more often/frequently than others.
-
I should move house more often if signings like this progress whilst I'm not online.

That's hard enough over 20 pages, let alone 76, hence my suggestion that there should be a simple list at the very top of the post, on Page 1, of the links posted, collated together. People can then scan that first to get up to date.

It's threads like this that need a timeline summary on the first page of what was said, when and by whom, so some people can keep up.

The soap opera is entirely in fans' minds. All that is actually happening is probably a fairly normal negotiation which may or may not end up in us signing Ramirez. All the drama has been entirely fabricated by impatient fans.

There's a psychology thesis just waiting to be written using this thread...

The 'It's going to happen' was only ever a hunch, an opinion from a handful of journalists. And to be accurate, it would *appear* that it was a case of 'Just a loan to sort, but only a limited amount of time to do so otherwise Saints will pull out.' Which appears is what has now happened. Advice everyone should've followed from the outset.
-
Then I would suggest you step away from the thread! If anything of note were to happen, you'd see it in the press soon enough, but in the meantime, it's all just second-, third- and fourth-hand comments from people who know people who saw people who heard people who showed people who emailed people who might have had something to do with the deal. Or in other words: chill out.

Not insane, no, but failing to pick up on the fact they are taking the ******.
-
Probably because it's all based based on a Press Association wire article, which was probably written by Simon Peach!

lol, always thinking about cashflow, good work Wurz. Pitter seem ideal, I just need to work out how to collect/drop off the van from West End as I'm going from Winchester to Southampton and don't otherwise have a vehicle! Thanks all for now.
-
Probably not, largest items are sofas and 2.5m tall cupboard.
-
Sad as it is, the one thing I keep thinking about is wiping the smug grin off Mark Lawrenson's face if we do sign him.
-
Yeah, that.
-
So, on the face of it, we've done little wrong, they are simply pushing for more money sooner because of their own financial situation.
-
The latest according to Simon Peach:

Inspired by the Gaston Ramirez and 'weeing in public' threads, what's the best example of bedwetting you've seen? The Ramirez thread has to be up there, surely?
-
Which was pretty much the crux of adrians post IMO. Bottom line is none of us know how these things happen, no two transfers are probably ever the same, and yet we have endless discussions between people seemingly only intent on a bit of one-upmanship, rather than putting across their opinion, as they are quite entitled to do, but with the realisation that anything could still happen.

Amen to that.
