  1. Correct if we just look at attendances right now and nothing else or if we never want to get better as a club. Its a good job NC is exploring all the other avenues of expansion including attendances. If we do expand it definitely wont be just to add a few extra seats.
  2. Nope as SMS current location wouldn't suit a hotel but is this why NC talked of a possible new build somewhere else? I'm sure he is exploring all possibilities. Maybe more corporate suites is a money maker? As I said before I have already used one of the suites 3 times for exams? Its not all about match day income with corporate facilities.
  3. I'm not saying We should have a hotel or the like there, just trying to second guess NC.
  4. Does anyone know what other revenue streams an expanded stadium could generate. Stamford bridge has a hotel. I have taken 3 OU exams at St Marys All these generate income on non match days
  5. If NC is looking at other revenue strems other than boxes then again the natural consequence is more seats.
  6. Thats what I'm saying. If we do sell out again and need to build more then a natural consequence of that is more seats.
  7. I may be wrong but I'm sure we sold out of boxes when we were last in the prem.
  8. I really do think that expansion is not just about extra seats but is for corporate and other revenue incomes. This is where the money is and extra seats that only get filled in big games or on a cheap seats scheme is just a bonus. Why are people on here so concerned about whether we will fill them every week when the real reason for them being built is to make money for the club in other areas. Shouldn't we be discussing what NCs vision for the expansion might be? Corporate boxes, shops, conferance rooms, hotel......the list is endless.
  9. Or Stoneham I trust Nicola will do the right thing, long term. Spending £15m on a training facility is not financially viable short term but long term will set up for generations. So spending £18m on the stadium is penny's in the long term plan for saints.
  10. Could a new st Mary's be a hotel, snow dome and shopping centre?
  11. Do we actually know why cortese wants to expand? I think it's to do with making the stadium more profitable through corporate and other avenues rather than just bums on seats. To add any these things, the up side is more seats and if they are not used every week I dont think that's his main concern. I think it's been said before that he is not happy with the lack of money making potential of the ground. I think this may be why he may consider building a new ground to fully explore these other avenues. What these are I don't know but you can guarantee he's has done all the Maths to see if this is worth while LONG TERM. I really think we need to fully back what every he has in mind and if he is looking to expand then this must be good for the club.
  12. Millwall one up, oh dear
  13. Pompey gaining points and their fight relegation fight, I think has quite alot to do with this thread. Alot more relevant than alot of things that get said on here. Need I quote corpy? Also I've not been called mush for at least 20 years
  14. Is storrieteller joining us then.
  15. He adds a comedy value for sure.
  16. Well said They deserve everything they get in the coming months!
  17. I like what you did there, but I feel they deserve much less, moneyfields maybe
  18. Check this out on the pompey website: http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/home.aspx Job for a sales administrator
  19. All this quietness has to be good news. TB seems to be doing a proper administrators job and there is still no a sniff of a proper buyer, only talks of an unlikely fans buyout. Selling thier youth (magri), recieving forwarded PPs and loaning out first teamers just to see them through till the end of the season means they look less sellable with everyday that passes. They don't have a ground to sell (brighton), no players that will make them much money in the tranfer window and a huge wage bill. If no buyer comes in very soon they are doomed. I think liquidation would be good for them, otherwise they will never be able to clear their debts and will have to take drastic measures ensuring the shame of relgation after relegation. No fan wants to see that happen to their team. They will probably end up in the conference still with a large debt to pay and going no where! Liquidation means clean slate and with a fan base such as theirs, they can immediately look forward to years of promotion battles. Lets hope they don't liquidate
  20. It all seems to have gone a bit quiet for now. Will that be it until the end of the season and have they really made enough cut backs to last until then????? I hope not as I fear they have enough to keep above the bottom three. I understand that there is more ups and downs to come until chinny and gayboy are off the seen but the rest of the season will be no fun watching the phew doing a great escape. Anyone any ideas what spanners could be thrown in before then?
  21. My source........none......except you don't make as much as chinny by giving away 17M, you muppet!
  22. I guarantee you it wasn't a gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. You complete lemon. Its proven Chinny gave you £17M. The only thing in question was whether it was a gift or a loan and the proof behind that. Please stop posting stuff making you look like an even bigger tw at that you already are
  24. They should offer them 20p in the £ then cut it to 10p without telling AA.
