Next few minutes will be crutial in pompeys future.

I find this site good for keeping track on proposals and current plans http://www.invest-in-southampton.co.uk/

Oh well once they've blown that money in the next month or two they have to fund the CVA with no more PP this year and wages far outweighing income. No chance of promotion, much less attractive to buy and spiralling debts. I my opinion they are just digging a bigger hole and prolonging the agony. Long may it continue as they will go bust eventually!!

OK my prediction on the following week and beyond: Forgetting advanced parachute payments or not, Chainrai will not want to let them go as its too much money to lose. This means he has to keep the club alive any way he can. He will pay to enter admin on Friday using advanced PPs or otherwise. While in admin he'll hope the club becomes more attractive to buy knowing that with -10 they are likely to stay up. If no one comes in he'll loan the club more money to get out of admin and wait till the summer. He'll then have a fire sale of players and get back as much money as he can back that way (if any) but more importantly vastly reduce the overheads. Then he'll get through next season with little or no outgoings due to a bottom of the table squad of cheap loanees. He'll then get his last PP, Pompey will be relegated and he'll liquidate with most of the CVA still left to pay. He will also keep hold of the stadium to sell later when the dust settles and Tesco comes a knocking. Any more predictions? I hope I'm right though as that will be a slow miserable demise especially if we get to play (embarrass) them twice!!!!!!!!!!!!

So is Friday the day we get a statement from AA saying something like......... "We are so close to a deal that can save the club but HRMC are pushing too hard to get the court hearing through on Monday which could ruin any chances of getting tax payers money back. We just need a little more time, why have they got it in this this for poor plucky club"
-
Maybe we should send this link to the FL!
-
I also like the bit "We are of the opinion that lessons are not being learned," the statement said. "For example, clubs have to realise that, going forward, they cannot treat their [tax] obligations as something akin to a credit card." http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/nov/01/dundee-25-point-penalty-administration
-
I don't get it when they talk about a 10 point detuction Look at this: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/nov/01/dundee-25-point-penalty-administration I know its a differnet league but when they say they "acted to protect the "integrity" of the league" it makes alot of sense and gives a very clear message to other teams who think they can take the ****. I really hope the football league act the same way but i doubt it!!!!

Not guilty for both on all charges....doh

http://www.portsmouth-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/hull_game_postponed_726701/index.shtml A date for the fixture has yet to be rearranged but the ticket office is open until 1pm today if fans wish to claim a refund (although cash refunds are not available) but tickets bought for the game today will be valid for the rearranged date. Wonder why they are not giving cash refunds and only a very short window to claim a refund! Pompey's next (and possibly last) home game is against Ipswich and is due to be played on Valentine's Day. Maybe they are finally getting it!

Are we going to see a repeat of this almost 2 years to the day....... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/feb/18/portsmouth-premier-league-transfers?INTCMP=ILCNETTXT3487 They seem to have a one rule for them and one rule for the rest policy.

Ha ha they are asking residents to go to moneyfields. Premonition? http://www.aboutmyarea.co.uk/Hampshire/Portsmouth/PO6/News/Local-News/215471-Update-on-Gas-Leak-in-Tangiers-Road

Does anyone know what could happen to Pompey on the 20th in court? Could they be liquidated there and then or could it be drawn out over weeks etc?
-
What if Pompey are liquidated? In the event of Portsmouth Football Club (2010) Limited being liquidated, Fratton Park would be seen as part of the assets of the liquidated company and as such would be available to willing buyers. This is where the fans and the local council could step in to purchase the land and safeguard it for a reborn PFC. Does this mean if a phoenix club did emerge it would instantly have tax payers money to help buy a ground for it. Talk about a fresh start! Then maybe they could spend much more money than they get coming in and quickly get back to the prem while not paying tax along the way!
-
Actually I really like the idea of Pompey being a community club owned by the fans as Penny is promoting. Then they might understand the concept of spending beyond your means when it starts effecting their own pockets. They could have a Pompey tax for the city where every man women and child (including MPs) have to pay a few hundred a year to allow them to carry on as they have been the last few years. Do you think they will still think its a great community club then or will the Penny finally drop?
-
If pompey did sit around the table with HMRC what would be discussed. Can you pay your tax bill?.....no! Are you trading insolvantly and racking up more debt like last time...yes! OK you're liquidated! Waste of time in my opinion!
-
In that case, if anyone at the club thought there was any chance of being liquidated in the next couple of months, there would have been a fire sale this month? They must believe someone will buy them??????
-
Won't he be an asset then and be sold anyway? No free transfer and inflated wages?
-
Does that mean we are signing pearce?
-
Is it chinnys option to choose the administator if they went into admin? I thought PFC had little or no debt to him appart from monies owed in the CVA which is another administration. That shouldn't come into it, should it??? Their only new debt is the £1.6M to HMRC and a £10.8M loan from CSI. Surely then HMRC would have a choice in the matter?? Anyone know how this works when you already have debt from a previous admin?

Scrolling on SSN now as breaking news so maybe the WUP has only just be issued!
-
Just announced on SSN about the WUP......Breaking news?

They can put that in their history book along with their other great achievements: Biggest cheats in British football history Biggest debt compared to income percentage in British football history First premier league club to go into Admin Most deluded fans in British football history I'm sure there are many more.......Anyone care to help?
