Edozie is a good player. The bigger issue is who is covering now? Fellows is off form. Matsuki is not a winger. Jayrob is injured. Arma is gone. Can't even play one of Wellington or Manning on the left wing because ones is injured. ... We have 2 fit wingers and matsuki. Will we see a formation change?

We will miss Downes if that is the line up (although i think he will be partially rested). Will have to repeat the Fulham game plan (minus leo).

I don't think the attacking players are on particularly great form atm. And, as i said going through January, we don't have the depth in the attacking 3rd to sustain us - Selling AA means we are reliant on Archer (who is beyond poor), Stewart can't manage more than 45min, and Larin (who i rate vs sides like WBA who are physical and want to sit deep) can't do it all. Now Scienza is likely out for a decent period, and JayRob and wellington are out as well, we look both very thin on the ground and out of form. Azaz can't play all the time either. Reckon we're perilously close to the wheels coming off this season sadly, right for the crucial run in . Dropping points vs the likes of WBA, Oxford, Pompey etc is going to cost us now that the crunch is on.

It was called by numerous people at half time. 4-4-2, Stewart and Larin, 2 wingers, get the crosses in. He waited till basically the last minutes of the game to essentially do that with Archer, Larin, Edozie, and Fellows. Its too late (obviously). He's done well lately, but his naivety/inexperience cost us tonight (won't be the last time, and it is what it is with him 🤷‍♂️) - but the people who can't see this and won't countenance any criticism of Eckert are just burying their heads in the sand and lacking all balance when it comes to our performances. Its perfectly reasonable to say when he's done well at times, and when he does badly at others - particularly as most of the forum telegraphed this game midway through the first half yet the manager waited until the 83rd minute... 😄

What is really pissing me off is the total lack of urgency and how basically not one of them is taking responsibility. Manning has probably offered the most concerted threat when he's been up near their box and tried to take his man on and get it into the box.

He still needs to learn the english game and how to play physical shit football like this. We've been outplayed tonight, they've basically bullied us the entire match and tonda has played into their hands, no tactical changes to be seen.

Ref made it this way tbh. Should have been multiple bookings first and second half for WBA, and they've basically battered scienza off the pitch with no protection being given to skillful players throughout.
