Here, here.
I think the moment we stop being interested in players who used to play for Saints or the teams they may now play for or even not play for, it will be a sad day for football and Southampton FC.
I have always had fond memories of Egil Ostenstad and when I followed him when he left Saints. My heart sank and a darkness came over me when he signed for Rangers and floundered. I love the fact that he went back to Viking and is now there as Director of sport. After Saints Viking are my second team. All because of an ex saint. And my favourite film is this:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1114723/
Mannen som elsket Yngve is a wonderful film that was inspired by Egil. If it were not for an ex Saint I would not be saying that.
I often sit at home with my Saints kit from 1997 on and an egil Ostenstad mask on my face. I ask my wife to pretend to be Peter Schmeichel and although she hates it, doesn't see the point, I shout at her and tell her that if there is a chance that I can mention an ex saints player in any context then I will do so and she should shut her stupid face.
You are a sad man

I think he means Alistair Darling

So you're saying that the problems at Merlion Group Limited have to do with Wilde's lack of business acumen and not the general collapse in the housing market? Or what? Bit of a crap argument if you ask me.

Hate to **** on your bonfire, but you're assuming that some white knight will actually take us on. There may not be any next season.

What a load of rubbish - and very strange to hear someone from the Torygraph saying its the council's job to run SFC.

He is apparently one of her nephews, if what he says is to be believed and why shouldn't it be. She has 2 brothers and a sister I think.
Indeed, why shouldn't it be. This is after all an Internet forum.

The Grauniad reckons we'll fold if we don't conclude a deal within 8 days:

Debts of 80m - if they go down they must surely go bust.

David - if there's a PR vacancy at St Marys you should apply.

The interest in this thread has been incredible.
Yeah, even without St Patrick - WOW!

I suspect it's a rehash of an old quote.
That said, it does actually make a refreshing change for a manager (or a player, for that matter) to come out and actually say what they think rather than hide behind tired clichés and platitudes.
While it might not be universally popular, it does show a very obvious grit and determination about the bloke which I admire greatly.
I think you'll find not slagging off your boss in public is actually the no-backbone option.

Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell may lead a mass summer exodus of players from Fratton Park after manager Paul Hart was told to cut the club's payroll by 25%. Campbell, Kanu, Lauren and Hermann Hreidarsson are among 18 players out of contract at the end of the season. (Daily Star)
They are so totally ****ed hahaha

What about the points that Rasiak has cost Watford ? By all accounts, he's played poorly when he's made it onto the pitch and many Watford fans think he's one of the reasons they are so low in the table.
Quite - and if they hadn't spent/wasted their money on him they'd've got someone else in who might well have done a better job.
Also when other clubs borrow our players they have to drop them when they play us - this making it easier for us to play them than it would be if they'd borrowed players from a third club.
And... Saints players playing for other clubs may have contributed to defeats suffered by our relegation rivals. I haven't checked but I'm guessing John has done so.

Go to the South Today website, you can watch the whole programme, fast forward to around 15mins or maybe slightly more and it shows Euell's second and Patto's.
Thanks for that - actually about 19 and a half minutes in.
