Yes, I don't follow West Ham enough to know, but he was always the best of our crop of decent players, I thought. He is without a doubt way way better than anything we have currently.

Hmm... Over the last few seasons we've had a few players who've really stood out in the Championship and at the bottom of the Premiership and have moved on - JWP, KWP, Ramsdale and Fernandes. None of them have convinced since returning to the Premier League. Three of them are likely to finish the season at clubs that will be relegated and Ramsdale has been number 2 at Newcastle. I don't think the players you mention are any better than those who have moved on from us, in fact, with the possible exception of Scienza, I think they stand out less in the Championship.
