  1. Sounds like the script for a new Only Fools and Horses Christmas Special...

    Del Boy - Micah Hall

    Rodney - Colin Farmery

    Uncle - Iain McInnes

    Trigger - Neil Allen

    Any others?

They actually have a player named John Sullivan....

  2. If you've ever been to Reading....

...you know how amazing it is to arrive into the middle of town by train and then have to queue for ages to get a shuttle bus to and from the stadium. It's always the highlight of the trip.

  3. But we could have had a big empty shopping centre crippled by the credit crunch as well... and loads more traffic problems.

And a cinema! That's what we really need next to the ground, a cinema. Or, even better, a bowling alley! Remember how brilliant it is to drink in the bar of the bowling alley at Northampton before a game rather than any the real pubs in the city centre.

  4. One thing is that it is in a horrible location.

A last resort for Rupert at the time.

    Agreed.

A smaller ground at Stoneham, accessible only by car, would be infinitely preferable to St Mary's with it's greater capacity and easy access via public transport and the city centre.

I just wish more people could see this obvious point.

  5. Wish I could get this to work on my raspberry pi...

There are ways to get Flash to work on the Raspi but they're a little convoluted and I don't have the time to spend getting it working. Would be ideal though...

  6. Mine won't work either, followed instructions but when trying to connect to the VPN it is saying authentication failed. I have checked my password and login details and put the correct server details 'vpn-eg.overplay.co' I've tried L2TP and PPTP as advised in the guide but it still won't connect to the VPN...again I only got the smart dns. Close to giving up on my iPad!

Overplay's VPN and Smart DNS packages are different things. If you only subscribed to the smart DNS you won't be able to use their VPN, but if you buy the VPN package you get both.

  7. Has anybody set up overplay on a dd-wrt router? That looks interesting.

I've flashed one of my routers with dd-wrt previously. Not used it for overplay (don't use home broadband anymore) but it was pretty simple to do. The instructions are pretty comprehensive.

Wow. This November the Southern Daily Echo will have been banned by Southampton for 4 years. Is this a media record?

@pn_neil_allen they also don't like talking to us. Every time I've called for a comment my phone calls remain unreturned.

@pn_Emma_Judd Wouldn't let me in the press box either! A south coast derby with the chief sports writer from both papers sat in the crowd!

@pn_neil_allen ridiculous! Not sure many other multi-million pound businesses choose not to communicate with their customers.

SFC have plenty of channels through which they communicate with their customers. I'm at a loss to understand why Neil and Emma think that a local rag based in a totally different town should be one of those channels....

Next, Woolaroo & District Parish News will be complaining that they aren't getting their press accreditations from the club, as will the Peruvian edition of Knitting Monthly.

  9. Most deluded fans in the world.

    "we're coming for you!"

How about getting out of division four before you start singing that as right now your closer to Biggleswade Town then you are to us!

    Hope they're patient.
