Southampton is not classed as an industrial City, a port City but not an industrial one, no Southern City has an industrial past, the first is Birmingham I think? Thats correct they are not Liverpool, not too sure what the point is? Industrials Cities populations are declining, try the other major ones? The opening up of Cities happened after the war, the knocking down of slums and moving people to the outskirks, Liverpool had places like Huyton, Skelmersdale, Kirkby and Halewood built, learn a bit lad, they are not in Liverpool but right on the edge of bar Skelmersdale which is 13 miles to the North, do your research.

They are here of course they are and they are very welcome, the issue is we have 1000's of immigrants in this City and they contribute a lot, have done been here longer than any other City in the UK, learn a bit mate, Liverpools City population is declining like most industrial Cites but the outskirts and areas by it are increasing, Cheshire, the Wirral and West Lancs for example,

How many Merseysiders do you honestly think live in Southampton? Do you think they owe you a debt of gratitude for moving about their own Country and working? It would be interesting to see how many Poles and Eastern Europeans have inflated the population of Southampton as opposed to the indigenous population, cheap housing and low paid jobs?

The movement of people and the changing of industry is always happening, that graph show for the last 10 years the population has been pretty stagnant, not too sure what this proves, Southamptons population is growing but is that because they cant afford to live in Romsey, Winchester and Botley?

The demand in Southampton os high as people can not live anywhere else, have you considered that? Its cheaper than anywhere else so demand is lower than elsewhere in the vicinity, there lies the issue not Liverpool, Liverpool **** es all over Southampton for lifestyle for me and many others who come into the City from outside, Southampton bar the football team has sadly nothing to offer me, the wages are the same so there is no advantage,

I dont know for me it certainly is, for tourists also coming into and enhancing the City and spending their money also, students staying here after their studies also testify this by staying here. As I say I wouldn't move to Southampton at all, the Countryside outside yes, my family live both sides of the City in the Forest and to the East of the City so possibly there but in no way Southampton, I a married now and want different things, good restaurants, bars and music is something not on Southamptons list.
