Sholing kick off our season in the Wessex League Next Saturday and our first home game is on Wednesday 12th August 7:45pm against Portsmouth side, Moneyfields. With fewer games clashing with Saints home fixtures, hopefully fans can get the chance to watch both clubs in action over a weekend. Admission fees have been reduced this season: Adult: £5 Southampton FC Season Ticket Holders (cards must be shown): £4 Over 65's: £3 Disabled: £3 Students (card must be shown): £3 12 - 16 year olds: £2 Under 12: Free (with fee paying adult) Our ground is on Portsmouth Road (SO19 9PW), between Sholing & Old Netley (previously called VT Sportsground). Boatmen take on the league leaders and soon to be crowned Champions, Merthyr. Being an international weekend, it's classed as "Non League Day" to help support grassroots football. With Saints playing on Sunday, we are hoping for a good crowd to cheer the lads as we take on Farnborough from the Conference South (two leagues above Sholing) £5 admission for Adult Saints season ticket holders (please show your season ticket at the turnstiles) Otherwise, admission is £8 Adults, £5 Concessions (Over 65's & students), £2 U16's. FREE for U12's (with a paying adult). FREE parking. Covered seating, hard standing around the ground, bar & hot food. With the recent rain, the car park is a bit muddy, so maybe best to Park in "Veals" Cash & Carry Car park, 100 yards from the ground entrance next to the Vauxhall Garage.

Last season we made it all the way to Wembley to win the FA Vase, can't we have another "march to the arch"? The Boatmen's home fixtures have often clashed with Saints home games this season, but Saturday Saints are away, so we are hoping for an improved crowd to cheer the lads. £5 admission for Adult Saints season ticket holders (please show your season ticket at the turnstiles) Otherwise, admission is £8 Adults, £5 Concessions (Over 65's & students), £2 U16's. Thanks for all your support & messages. Lost for words, amazing day, amazing season. Was our 70th first team game of the season today & yet these great bunch of lads also have full time jobs, but their dedication and love of the game & team spirit is amazing. Thanks to Saints for letting the boys pitchside before tomorrow's game. Mind you, seeing how they all like a drink, they may be crawling out of the tunnel! UP THE BOATMEN!

Sholing won the Wessex League Premier League last night with a 3-0 at Moneyfields Portsmouth (nice place to do it!) We still have two home games left, on Thursday against Christchurch (7:45) and on Saturday against Portchester (3pm). The home game against Portchester on Saturday will be FREE admission for all. You can witness the Wessex League Trophy being awarded and see the team off ahead of our trip to Wembley the following Saturday.
