so how come Ronald said literally a couple of days ago that talks on a new deal for him simply have not taken place?
Where was this? Please and thank yous.
-
Signing Juanmi, Martina, Romeu, and Caulker (...and to a lesser extent Austin), all sort of belie the possibility that Reed has too hard a hard on about it.
-
Personally, I think he seems like an all right bloke. He appears nice enough when interviewed, and was pretty graceful in defeat. All that being said (and with my Saints-specs on), I'm not fond of him
-
Well, just be careful or you will be type scripted. I've suffered for 15 years.
As for the OP,
How's the leg?
In all seriousness, do you really care how you are perceived (here)? As long as you're content with what you post, that's all that really matters, no? If someone (myself included) takes exception to what you've said, you either, A) retort, B) examine what you've said, or C) let it slide...and that's sort of the entire point of this place.
There's certainly no 'new guy' victimization at play (imo).

Mate you're f*king boring.
Following me around threads..do have a word.
That's the second time I've responded to you
Besides, I couldn't follow you around even if I wanted to, on account of my leg being in a cast
P.S If you genuinely think I'm "following" you, the only defence I can offer is, one can't help being a fly
-
I wasn't at the match.
Of course you weren't. Something something, leg's in a cast, something something, Les Reed's fault, something something, clusterf*ck.
-
Like a scratched record having a pop a Clasie. Well done for not crowbar ring some Spurs praise in though.
Changed your mind about Long yet?
Shoehorned into a comment about Jack Cork too (in the Other Games thread)
-
That was bloody hilarious! I was sat in chapel and you could see him desperately looking left & right. He didn't have a clue what to do. Poor lad!
Reminded me of a lot child desperately looking for its mother
-
Cork having a great game so far, even aside from the goal. Not sure of any area Clasie is better than Cork in to be honest.
He isn't a world class player of course, but is so solid and reliable and has the stamina to be effective for 90mins.
All of which is immaterial, as you well know.

to be fair..
I don't see how that's Cortese's fault.
He could have just walked out, shut the door and whistled into his car never to be seen again without appointing anyone at all.
Doesn't make Les Reed any less of a clown.
It's who we winded up with.
What are you talking about?!
Reed was here for years before Cortese left.

Marc Pugh and Oliver Norwood from Reading.
Rob Elliott to replace Forster with Gazza until Elliott is fit.
Luke Benali to replace Bertrand.
Yuki to replace Saint Charlie.

Townsend's perception on here seems to have done a complete u-ey in recent weeks. I still wouldn't want him here (not that I would be disgruntled as such if we did sign), but perhaps I haven't watched him closely enough. Either way, a hot streak (5 or so games) isn't enough to convince me.
Anyway, Ox would be my pick. Koeman's comments on Depay still come to mind (although we allegedly still looked at him, so perhaps he's changed/it's workable). Not that I think either are likely (with Depay being a complete no-go really). As mentioned above, Ox's (most probable) potential domestic suitors are Liverpool, Everton, West Ham....and us? Do people reckon Liverpool will go for him if they're able to sign Gotze? West Ham would probably offer crazy wages. I can't see too much of an issue out-muscling Everton, particularly with the player/club history-aspect.

I bet you £100 that Spurs will win the title at odds of 50/1. You win, you win my £100, I win, you pay £5000. Simple! (just grab a Wonga loan - you'll easily be able to pay it back with the £100 you're certain to win from me).
Obviously only a fool thinks this isn't over so why don't you help yourself to some free money old boy?
Not this nonsense again. How much did you cash your Saints Relegated 200/1 bet out for in the end?

My guess would be it includes all passing so victors 2 yard sidewards passes count as much as an attempted through ball forward.
Undoubtedly
I'm merely perplexed as to how someone could watch Wanyama and Clasie play, and conclude that Wanyama is a superior passer of the ball.
-
More of a comment on Villa, there were chances there to score 8 or 9.
It's not about that so much as frustration that we've not been clinical enough throughout the season. And while 4-0 would have been a good result, we let probably the worst premier league side ever get back in a game they had no place being in, right up until injury time. That's why we're finishing 8th, so frustration is understandable, given we know the squad is capable of more.
Just think how high we would be if we still had Gaston
-
Romeu. At least he can tackle and do some defensive work. Contrary to the myth, passing stats for Wanyama, Romeu and Clasie actually show that Wanyama (rating 6.98) is the best passer and Clasie (6.70) is the worst. I think some people notice Clasie's passing more because it's all he does, whereas Wanyama and Romeu do a lot of tackling and intercepting as well during a game. Fans of Clasie say he makes telling passes, but that appears to be a myth too as I can't recall him having a single assist all season.

You can't possibly be serious.

Yeh sorry for wanting a striker to actually take chances and score goals consistently, how rude of me. Especially when they are playing as a lone striker.
The fact that 9 goals this season is the most he's ever managed in one premier league seasons tells you all you need to know.
If we want to improve, we need someone that scores more than 9 goals in a season considering all the chances we create.
How'd you work that out?
-
It's only offside if the ref gives the decision
Don't be ridiculous.
-
Clasie will be our player of the season next season, he has a touch of class that reminds me of Morgan. Especially when it comes to positioning and first touch.
He's had a poorish season due to injuries but has shown enough to give me full confidence.
Romeu is adequate cover for vic, but like him lacks in intelligence on the ball so has to put in extra work to win it back.
Funnily enough the fact that Romeu tears around covering his own mistakes and clasie looks more silent due to his better positioning is why many saints fans prefer the weaker of the two players.
Still I'm happy that the people that are employed to do it select the team and not our fanbase that've been consistently wrong about various players, from Morgan to Pelle b

Yes, what did you make of that - thumped the badge too, maybe he's staying. Tadic great today, along with Romeu, Davis, Bertrand and Long.
-
Win's a win, but our defending was nonsense for most of the match.
-
Winning, that's welcome. Too open for my liking though (even before their goal). Fonte looks like he's still playing with a concussion at times
-
Vardy has the highest number of goals and assists this season out of anyone. He's much, much more talented than our Paddy Long, who has literally never in his entire career scored even half as many goals in a season as Vardy has in this.
Vardy is a class well above Long, and the fact you've compared the two illustrates my point perfectly.
Something else which you've imagined
